I am really motivated!!! The good for me foods have started to taste better tham my McDonalds! Who woulda ever thought!
I made some low sodium split pea soup this morning. Though the flavor was good the peas turned to mush.
Guess I boiled it way too long.
Lunch today was mushed soup, a few slices of fresh baked turkey breast on toasted whole grain bread with lettuce and tomato and some mustard! (Cranberry sauce would have been good if I had some) YUM!!
Gotta go. I have an eye doctor appt in about half an hour.
Donna, When you eat healthy your tastebuds do "wake up" so to speak. I'd never heard of putting cranberry sauce on a turkey sandwich until a couple of years ago when dh did that with some Thanksgiving leftovers and it was really good. No pea soup for me though.

We are headed down south for a long weekend! I have bought bagels, fresh fruit and soda for the car. At the game and zoo we plan on bringing our lunch in so we will definitely eat healthier that way. One of our favorite sandwich places is in Orange county...Panera Bread! We ate at the one in Illinois a lot when we lived there. We don't have one here so will look forward to their soups and sandwiches!!! Thet are So Good!! Healthy, too!
Apricot, maybe I will have some of their yummy pea soup!!! Shall I have a bowl for you??!!! LOL!!
Train, You can have a sandwich for me but the pea soup for you and only you. I haven't been to Orange County in ages and don't even know what Panera bread is but it sounds good. I hope they will let you take your snacks into the zoo and whatever game you are going to. The janitor where I work took his granddaughters to a Grizzlies game in Fresno and they checked backpacks, purses, etc. and wouldn't allow any food or water to be brought in. He said the bottles of waters they were selling there were $4 a piece and the hot dogs and everything was expensive too.

We have a Panera Bread place here but as yet have not been to it. Like some have said I hear it is really good. And they have good soups there too again so I have heard
