Odds and Ends & This and That's

This part of my journal will have all sorts of stuff my homeschooling notes, family envents and etc.;-)

1st entry... This morning we are being blessed with more rain thankyou Lord. Its been along time since we got this much rain at one time. This many days in a row. The ground is dry it going to take a lot to build the moisture back in to the ground.

In Schooling Jacob starting to use his merit books as a school book. He working on building moldels of houses on scale. He has to write his anwer to the question in the book. Plus make a scaled model of the house. This way he learns to read a articture ruler. Draw a type of blue print and use carborad make the house. He having a blast. Learning at the same time...

Then he working out of and English book. Plus a 1958 Commutcation book I found at a flea market. It neat the 1st chapter showing how to hold a dissucion on topic.

Last of his math book. He does 1 to 2 pages out of a day.

Yesterday was my birthday Oh wow the big 40. Kenneth and the kids took me to Cracker barrel for Breakfast other then it been a long day. I took a nap from 12:00 to 4:00. Its now about 8:00 I'm feeling sleepy again.

Hubby not felt good so it been a boring day.

Oh Tree--the 40's are great in my opinion. I hope you had a pleasant day. Don't you just love Cracker Barrell? Yummy! Anyway, Happy Belated Birthday.

Belated Happy Birthday!

It was great you got to have a meal out for your birthday....The last time I was to a Cracker Barrel Restaurant the food was excellent so I hope your was too!

40 is young, and just think there are alot of people older than you!lol Me for one!

schooling

The boys schooling

To day Jacob read a story base on the blizzard in 1888 in New York. It was a very good story. From there Jacob worked on picking out noans in the story. Then for phonic he had to find 4 words for each blend bl,br,cr,cl, etc.

Michael on the other hand read is reader and pratice the phonic sounds and writing the letters I, A, M . Social Studies he studing the difference in the country life and the city life.

Today the boys schooling went good. michael got up first and went straght to work while I fixed breakfast. Jacob the sleepy head got up later. He didn't like the idea of Michael starting before he did and getting done before him but he was called he chose to sleep in.;-)
But he finished up.

I also worked the store and got my order in two more order tomarrow morning. I be done with that.

Tomarrow is my oldest baby birthday. He be 12. How times flys. I plan to take him out on adventure tomarrow and give him a spiderman book tell all about spiderman from the 1st comic on.

I plan to bake him a chocolate cake with chocolate icing.

Tomarrow is our truck drivers birthday from Pen. So we gave him a card and some country ham and swiss cheese. My little girl calls him Papa will.
