Autumn Camping!!

Anyone doing any Autumn time camping? It's my favorite time of the year to camp! Even tho I don't have vacation time I will still try to get away for at least a weekend in either September or October!
I love to have campfires in the cool autumn evenings!! I usually go over to the coast where the temperatures are 30 to 40 degrees cooler than here in the valley!


How about you....anyone else getting in some camping before it turns too cold??!!

We have just started camping but I would love to go again at least once more if not more, before the snow hits. Autumn is my favorite time of year and I love to see the leaves change so I think that would be the perfect time.

some camps near me will allow you to leave your camps set up for the w/e's in the fall ( and spring) if you agree to camp for the entire fall season. It is great since you do not have to set everything up each week and there are great activities like dinners ( soup week, or BBQ chicken week) at minimal costs as well as dances and Halloween parties and trick or treat and penny auctions etc. Making the time fun.
Look into camps close to to you so you "get away" but do not have to drive all day to get there. Really a lot of fun.

I agree! Nothing like a crisp autum evening! We have had a very busy summer and so haven't been able to camp as much as we'd like. We are planning to go next weekend though! Maybe the last time for the season.

remember to bring a sleeping bag that is warm enough for those cool autumn nights, I like to use a fleece blanket inside my sleeping bag

This is our first year camping and I can't wait for the cooler weather to get here. I love to camp when it's cooler out. Everyone sitting around the fire. We went as kids and it was so much fun.
