You are going to have a great time. We actually have some land 30 min from gatlinburg. Soon hope to build on it. But any way, the campground should have a coupon book, or any store, they have some good deals in the coupon book. They have so much to do now, Pigeon forge has grow so much in the past 5 years. If you are going shopping the outlets there are plentiful. Make sure you stop in at the office of Tanger they will give you a discount book for the stores there.
Another thing you can do, since you have some time go the pigeon forge website and request some informatin, you can email or call and they will send you all kinds of information on the area. You can also go to the Dollywood site and also gatlinburg, just do a search and you will find them. If not let me know and I will send you the links. I am so excited for you. I don't know where you live, but it is cooler in the mountains. Also be aware there will be some traffic in gatlinburg and pigeon forge since it will be the prime season. Funny how we found out about the area was when my husband was returning home from a business trip and it was near Christmas. He got a hotel room for $20.00. I know wow.. We found that most of the hotels do offer lower rates when it is off season. And if you like the area, you should take your family during the holiday season, the lights and decorations are amazing.
