Holiday pies

Whats your tradition on holiday pies, homemade or store bought?

I guess I am going half and half! Homemade but storebought crusts!

I will be making pumpkin, apple and chocolate.

Tomorrow will be my shopping and Wednesday my cooking day!
This is my year to host!

hugs, train

HOMEMADE!!!

And homemade crust is not that hard to do. Just make sure the water is ICE cold and you don't handle it much.

Yum, I love pie.

I always make homemade pies especially pumpkin. I do like to buy frozen pies when they are on sale. But I have a great dough recipe that I use and love it. Betty Crocker's book.I use the recipe on the back of Libby's pumpkin. Only I don't use cloves can't stand them.

I always make homemade pies anytime not just the holidays BUT as for crust thank God for Pillsbury etc. and as far as the Graham Cracker ones etc I prefer the Vanilla Wafer one. I use those for my pudding type pies
