Deb,
I watch the US version of So You Think You Can Dance and really enjoy that, too.
Gardenlady,
Thanks for sharing the link to the interview with Kristi -- I enjoyed reading it. She's my favorite, and I hope she wins.
I think Marissa is okay, but a little too much personality for me. I agreed with the judges that this past week's dance lacked something -- it seemed very blah to me, too.
Steve was a great addition to the show. His entire attitutude was a delight to see.
I don't know, I'm watching the show but not with the excitement as in seasons past.
It's good, but none of them have especially jumped out at me for really liking.
I still watch though.............
I'm with you, Deb. I still love the show (even though I haven't been posting here). I am a huge Kristi fan. She has been amazing -- and I think her high scores indicate that the judges agree. A friend of mine has been saying that she finds Kristi boring, but I don't agree.
I felt bad about Marlee -- she really did an amazing job in spite of not hearing the music, but I thought her performance this week was almost painful to watch.
I've liked Jason from the beginning of the season, but I have to agree with the judges that he's not dancing as much as the other competitors -- even though his lines are wonderful. I know it's different for the guys, they can get away with less flamboyance, but it's starting to be more obvious with fewer stars that some of them are doing a lot more choreography.
I will say that I had to laugh at a recent comment by Len about Edyta's stretching and posing -- I had been thinking that so many of her dances look the same to me with her incredibly-flexible moves, but I thought that was just me.
I'm looking forward to the two dances for each of them, too.
I was dissapointed in the judging of Kristi tonight...I loved her first dance and Len scored her so low on the second!!! What was up???? I did think most did do better than they have tonight....I did not like Christian at all ...but feel bad he got hurt tonight. I also am not a huge fan of Mario, although he can move his hips in latin. Jason's quick step was really good...nice to see him really move.
Be interesting to see who goes home!!!
Hugs dEbbie

Deb,
I so agree with you -- I thought Kristi's dances were excellent, as usual, but maybe there's more involved here. Oddly enough, it reminds me a little bit of judging in skating. The judges aren't always JUST judging what they see -- there are often other things taken into consideration.
I, too, felt bad that Christian got hurt, but I thought his dances weren't up to the same caliber as the leaders.
It's interesting that Jason is in the top spot. I thought he had vastly improved, but again, not as technically strong as the gals.
I was sorry to see Shannon leave last night. I had really come to like her and I think that she had really come a long way, but it's getting to the point that the better dancers are going to be eliminated because someone has to leave each week.
It sounds like they have some great entertainment scheduled for next Tuesday with their 100th show. It will be nice to see some of my favorites from past seasons come back. I wonder if they'll actually perform or if they'll just show clips from the previous seasons. (They sure do a LOT of replay to fill the time, it seems.)
Regardless, I'm a huge fan and enjoy the show very much.
