Hi, am new herre on this topic, but wanted to chime in.
Chris Sligh is gone, though I still think he is a classy guy. My vote for OFF is Sanjaya. I do not know about that hair or WHY he stays on, except that all the 12 y.o girls are voting. I really like Blake and Jordin is good too, I am amazed that Melinda is so consistantly good in whatever she does! WOW! I do think Phill did a great job this last time though, glad he is going on
Well I was disappointed that Sanjay was not even in the bottom three.......Must be hard for the other contestants......I know they would never say anything bad but still they must all realise that this is becoming more of a popularity contest than singing when singers like him stay while others leave. Once it gets down to Melinda, Jordin, Blake, Lakisha(who I like as the final 4) I wonder if Sanjay will still be around and push someone deserving out of the way. If you ask someone like Chris doughtery from last season he is now glad he did not win because he was abe to produce the kind of album he wanted not the idol show. He is doing great so i am sure those voted off that really do have talent will do well...just frustrating to watch though.
hugs Debbie

Tommorow night is my Taylor Hicks concert at the House Of Blues. I wonder if he will make any kind of comments about this seasons Idol? Getting EXCITED!
Deb,
It was wonderful! Will post more later, Bob and I are on our way out to breakfast and then have to go pick up the kids (they stayed the night at their Aunt and Uncle!)
Hi, I am now a bigger fan of Taylor than ever! He was great. That man cant stay still so much energy. Its no wonder he has lost so much weight and its all just who he is.
We went to see him at the House of Blues we had a dinner/show package so we had a great dinner and walked around the area (I used to work downtown and wow has it changed) anyway then we went into the concert hall, it was all standing but no matter where we were it was a good view. He had another band from Biringham Al playing they were good. Then out came Taylor he played almost 2 hrs. He played his guitar a lot, the tamberine and his harmonica he was just awesome. The crowd varied in ages but all had fun! There were twins that were standing by us who were so cute (in their 50's) they had made t-shirts calling themselves Hicks Chics, they were so funny. They were from another part of Ohio but were also going to PA to watch him again tonight. It was cute.
He didnt sing or say anything about or from American Idol but I dont blame him I dont think as a past Idol that they promote him much I should say the past latest Idol. Simon still puts him down. He did say Soul Patrol. He also was very humbeling thanking the crowd for having him and he so appreciated all the "Soul Patrol" support.
Deb, I did get a couple of picture/videos but am terrible at posting them it other words I dont ever seem to do it correctily. I do have your email so I might be able to do that. WIll give it a try.
Girls if your Taylor fans and he comes to your area I highly recomend going. Tickects were only $30.00 with a great view. We had a grownup date YEAH. The kids had a great time at my brothers and it was my very first time away from both of them all night. Whooo Hooo! I dont think I will wait another 6 yrs to do it again.
