Dancing With The Stars fall 2006

Wow, so what do you think of this week's results????? I was quite surprised that it was Vivica who got eliminated. I wasn't her biggest fan (I thought she was getting a lot more credit from the judges than I would give her) but I was concerned that either Jerry or Sara would get the boot this week.

I remarked to my husband last night that I was really disappointed in Vivica's costume and her dancing. I thought her dancing was pretty lame and her costume way too flamboyant and distracting. All those blue stripes in the skirt really didn't allow you to see any footwork.

I'm a fan of Sara Evans' music, but her personality certainly hasn't been coming across in her dancing (partly due to the yucky music). She must have a huge fan base voting for her.

I'm glad that Jerry will be back -- he's been a good sport (although everyone really is) and has really shown a down-to-earth tender side I would have never suspected.

I'm not a fan of Springer's talk show. In fact there was an article in the mornings paper regarding his show - he said all he does is host the show, introduce people and let them go at it.

It's nice to see he has a good side, sweet man, genuine love for his daughter, was that his wife or daughter that he hugged, I missed Tues show - watched Wed but it only showed highlights.

I'd like to see Sara go next week or Willa.

I too did not like the song choice for some especially Vivica's. The music over powered the dance. I was not totally surprised to see Vivica go. I think both Jerry and Sara have a huge fan base because of their singing and hosting. I found Vivica to almost be to sure of herself so it came across a little arrogant to me. Next week will be interesting.

I heard from Kyms paper interview here (dancing with Jerry Springer) that the accommodation was only booked for 3 weeks as they expected Jerry and Kym to be eliminated by then. I take it they are up to 3 weeks or past?

They have been asked back for week 4. I think Jerry is about ready for it to end.

I agree that Jerry is ready to go. i think he is constantly surprised at how far he has come. Be interesting to see what happens this week!!

I don't know how the scoring works in the US but here the judges give their score, then people ring in to vote for the stars, it is the peoples vote that brings the stars back and quite often it's the stars you don't think that will be staying actually do, so they must have a good fan base voting for them, maybe Jerry has some devoted fans ........

Bilby, that's exactly how it works here, too. Viewers can either vote by phone or via the internet for a specified time. They have a results show the next evening to let everyone know how the vote went and then the couple with the lowest score leaves the show.

Last season, I was surprised several times at how the voting went. It was quite obvious that some of the stars had quite a strong fan base keeping them on the show rather than their dancing ability.

This week, I though everyone was quite good -- Sara Evans (whose music I really like) was better than she had been, but her performance still seemed just a little weak compared to the others. All of the couples are really giving their all, even Jerry. I wholehearted agree with judge Len's opinion that Jerry may not be the best technical dancer, but he certainly is entertaining.

Last night Jerry was actually telling people "mouthing it" to call and vote. So must be he's really enjoying it. I still like Jerry, Emmitt and Joey.

So now are Mario and his partner dating? He's such a horndog.

We don't see the US version here only the Aussie one and the only reason I know Jerry is dancing is cause he's with an Aussie. Would I know the names of the other dancers there or they are not international?
