I've really enjoyed most of the performances, but was also surprised at how well Emmitt has done.
The more I thought about it, the two gals who were the lowest score-wise didn't impress me all that much either -- in the most recent performance they seemed a little slower (draggy) than the other high energy performances.
Yes emmit has done well I just don't like his free hand but sure that is just a comfort thing. Not sure how long Sara Evans will stay in as she is taking longer to come ouit f her shell and just go for it...maybe this week.

Wow, what an interesting show this week. I guess I didn't realize that there was a rule about no lifts in certain dances. Big hairy deal yesterday!
So sorry that Harry Hamlin got the fewest votes, but he still was a bit wooden. I thought Willa Ford was okay, but I was not as impressed as the judges were.
I guess it's getting to the point where I like most of the dancers, so it's going to be difficult to see one of the them leave each week.

Didn't Len say no lifts in any dances? If so, then when Cheryl and that other pro dancer danced to that weird band they were doing lifts. Oh well. Hopefully Willa or Jerry will be next to go. Willa I guess, I like Jerry because he's older and is really trying. I like under dogs.

I loved all the dancing this week and was so disappointed that Mario and his partner got penalised for the break...The dance otherwise was wonderful. There are so many great dancers this season. I thought Jerry would have gone home before Harry but I did not think Harry would last much longer as you stated he looks a little wooden or uncomfortable when dancing. I too am not that fond of Willa. It will be harder as the weeks go as I am going to hate seeing many of them leave.

It's been interesting to watch. I don't see a lot of consistency in the scoring and what is or isn't "acceptable". I don't have anybody I am really cheering for, yet.

This week it will be fun to see what direction the performances go -- do they follow the "rules" or strike out in the hopes of generating more fan support.
So what did everyone think last night???? I liked Mario and Joey and Monique the best. I heard a rumor that 1couple is dating ???? has anyone else heard this and if so who it might be???? I am curious. I think Jerry 's dance was not the best but it certainly was an emotional one. He really was into it!!!

Deb, I wholehearted agree with your picks. I really liked Joey's and Mario's performances, and Monique's as well. I was prepared not to like Willa's, but I think she did a nice job in spite of my predisposition against her.
I don't understand all the fuss over Vivica. I think she's okay, but I would pick several of the other stars over her.
I was a little dismayed at the music selections. I thought they would pick songs more fitting and representative of the various styles of dance. I wonder who chooses the song -- are they given to the couples or do they have a say in the matter??
I hadn't heard about a couple dating, but it would be interesting, wouldn't it.
I also agree with your read on Jerry's dance. I was really touched by it too.
I went to the ABC website to read what people are posting there, but I found it very petty and mean, so I didn't stay long. There seemed to be a lot of nasty comments about how fat all the women were. Oh my! There isn't a fat person there -- they couldn't wear those outfits and have an extra pound, or maybe it's a West Coast/Hollywood sort of thing.

I think it is Willa and Maks that are dating. I agree with the music selections. Dancing the Paso to Phantom music!!???
I wonder about the judges and Vivica. My opinion is that she isn't as good as they make her out to be. I wonder if it will be different when she dances first?
I got a tear in my eye over Jerry's dance, and Monique looked beautiful.
