Tha Amazing Race, Family Teams

Hi there

Anyone else watching this seasons episodes of the Amazing Race??? This season they have 4 member teams and they are all family. Does anyone have any opinions on the little ones being involved???

1st episode the Black family was eliminated with their 2 young children. The father handled it very well and made sure to reinfoce how very proud he was of his 2 sons. I am sure it must be so hard on those little ones though. There is one other team with 2 young children and they seem very competitive!

So who are your favorites and least likable team. I am not sure who my favorites are as I really liked the Black team, my least favorite would be the 2 older boys with there mom and dad who argued and were disrespectful the whole time.

Hugs Debbie

I also liked the Black family and was sorry to see them go but loved how the dad handled it. The family that left last week I didn't like that father cause even though he read the map wrong and had them going in the wrong direction he tried to blame it on his son and then when he realized what he had done he didn't really say he was sorry but said "I can't do everything" so I was glad they lost.

I agree with you I don't like the family where they are all disrespectful to the mom. My boys would never talk to me the way they do their mom. So I hope they lose soon.

The rest of the families I pretty much like so I haven't picked a team yet that I want to win. I like the family with the little kids and they are doing good.

Do you think the whole race is going to stay in the US this show? That is really different.

Take Care,

I really like this season so far. the last couple I didn't watch every week because some of the couples were horrible.
I think I read on their website that the whole race will be in the US this time. I'm sure it is due to the fact that they are 4 member teams and not 2. Costs would be double.
I don't really have a fav. team so far but I agree with you on the family from New York I don't care for the way they all talk to each other.

Do you think maybe it is in the states due to the fact that there are young children in the race this time??? It might have possed problems taking little ones in to other countries???? Just a thought

I am looking forward to tonights episode. Still working on picking a favorite family.

That could be part of it also. If I had little kids there are some of the countries they have been in (in past games) that I'm not sure I would want to take my little kids. And some of the countries seem to be wall to wall people everywhere, I would be afraid I might lose them if I was busy trying to win a detour.

I haven't decided on a team yet either but I do like the family with the little kids and the 4 sisters and the widow mom with her kids. I wish they would leave the cameras on one family a little longer so we could get to know the families a little better. They seem to switch from one family to another so fast it is hard to really decide who you like to cheer for.

I was bummed about the family that lost last night. They were one of my favorites. I liked that it was 3 son in laws and their Father in law. They seemed to all get along and still have some fun . I am sure this must have brought them all closer. The FIL seemed so proud of the guys and you could tell they all really cared for one anouther.

I to like the 4 sister team, I also like the dad and his girls. I think it is great that the family with the young kids is doing so well but sometimes I don't like the comments the father makes. The kids are very commpetitive but what happens when they start to get tired and can't do something??? How will the parents react???

Can't wait till next week

My hubby really liked the team with the father-in-law and the son-in-laws and was disappointed when they lost also. Me I usually change teams several times before the end of the game depending on how they are treating each other so if the father starts fussing at his little kids I won't like that team anymore either. I was glad that he picked his son to do the task with him last night instead of his wife.

I like this show also. I was sorry to see the FIL and SILs lose.
I like the widow and her family.
I hope the disrespectful team is gone soon.
Think they are staying in the US the whole time. Since they had small children, it would be educational for them to be seeing their own country and seeing things they read about in their school books.

I am in agreeance with you all! The disrepectful family should definitely go. It doesn't even make it enjoyable to watch when you see children talking to their parents like that. I am rooting on the widow and her kids and the marathon runners family. The marathon family seem to be very encouraging to their kids and all four are supportive of each other. I watch this show religiously every season. I was kind of apprehensive about little ones travelling the globe, but staying in the US isn't too bad. Still has to be rough though on the children though.

I'm looking forward to this week's show. Wonder how far the couple with the little kids will get.
