Ideas needed: what if weather ruins my party plans?

We have a birthday party planned for Saturday. Both my daughters birthdays are this month. They are turning 16 and 17. So to save time and money we planned to have them together. I have 15 teenagers(boys and girls) coming for a barbecue/swimming/bonfire.

The problem is "HANNAH" she is going to hit our area with rain and wind on Saturday. So now I need to come up with a back up plan incase it is nasty on Saturday.

Our funds are limited because dh is layed-off from work. Also school is starting.

If you have any ideas I would like to hear them.

Have a Board Game party. My teenage son and his friends do this often. Ask a few of the kids to bring their favorite games; borrow card tables & folding chairs from the neighbors, and set up game stations all around. Or make teams and have all the kids play one game.

Thanks Barb my girls liked this idea. Hopefully we can get the bonfire in if it isn't raining to bad. But I think it will be to cold for the pool. We have so many games. But the idea of the kids bringing a game they like is great.

My hubby laught and said as long as they don't play strip poker!!! Of course a man would think of that game.

So, Happymomof4 how do the party go?

Were you rained out? I know where I am we would have been rained out for the first part of the party, but later in the day for the bonfire, we would have been okay.

We had rain for the party. We had a tornado touch down not far from us. But as teenagers go things went great. They all brought a change of clothes. They played "hurrican football" in our front yard. That was wet and grassy. The kids loved it when I pulled out old beach towels for them to wipe off with. I found an old Barnie towel from 1992. Barnie wasn't purple any more!!!

The kids played twister. We had 2 boys and 6 girls at the party. Not quite as many as we originally planned. But that was ok with me.

The pizza and hoagies went over great. I am glad it all worked out. We can have a bonfire on another Saturday night when the weather is cooler.
