Evening everyone! Thank you for all your good wishes and prayers. just wanted to pop in and bring you up to date.

I went in yesterday for a biopsy of my right breast and they removed a mass the size of a tennis ball!! The doctor said the reason we couldn't feel it was because it was just like rubber and everytime we manipulated it it moved. The preliminary tests indicate it is NOT cancer though! I will have the final reports back next week.

So now I am recuperating at home. Going out of my mind sitting still for so long! I am not really in any pain... a little uncomfortable at times but no real pain. I have a drain line that I have to empty 3 times a day....yuck! I will probably stay out of work til Friday maybe even Monday.

Well just wanted to keep you all up to date! Talk to ya soon!

Kim, I'm so thankful that it doesn't appear to be cancer. Scary though that a mass couldn't really be felt because of it being rubbery.

I made it through my first mammogram today. Wasn't really as bad as I'd been told. A little discomfort for a few seconds at a time but no pain. What a relief. I should have results in 2 weeks but this was basically so we'd have a baseline to go by.

Someone mentioned my energy. I don't really have much BUT it seems I do have more since I started exercising. Who'd have ever guessed that all these years they were right about that? I really have several days felt I could have walked another lap or two (Today was NOT one of those though. ;-) ) but my friends were worn out or we had time restraints. I told Gail that tomorrow I'd like to get started just a hair earlier and see how we can do. We're meeting at 8:15 and can walk until 9:30. Hope we can get in 5 or 6 laps. A lap is 1/2 mile. It really helps that it's climate controlled.

Also, a couple of prayer requests. One friend that walks with us some days had a horrible night Sunday. I don't know if any of you heard about it but her neighbor directly across the street had served her husband with a restraining order. He showed up Sunday night, kicked in the back door and chased her across the yard shooting with a sawed off shotgun. He missed once and then got her in the chest. She is in Atlanta Medical Center and lost one breast. The man shot himself and was dead when the cops arrived. She has a small son and a teen daughter who are staying with her sister right now.

Tonight I found out that my hair dresser didn't call me back on Monday night to make my appointment because her brother was in a serious accident and is also in Atlanta Medical Center. They had to replace part of his skull with a metal plate and are hoping he lives. That's all I really know about him. I don't even know his name but my hairdresser is Lisa Moore.

I'll send updates when I have them. Hope ya'll have a great evening/morning/day. Stay dry and warm!

Kimmyo, I am so sorry you are having to go thru this. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Get some rest while you can!

Martie, I will be praying for your friends. Glad you survived the mammogram!! Hope all turns out fine.

Stacey, Yeah! Hope the move goes smoothly.

Pag, Hope you are feeling better.

Joyce, you ok? I have been thinkin bout ya.

Mouse, Way to go you are so smart!!! Bet you are the teachers pet!

We are going to Madison the 12th-14th for a wrestling tournament. Does anyone live close to there? We go to McDonough in Feb also. His team is doing okay, we've had alot of injuries, so that has slowed us down. Glad you cheered for the Panthers mouse!

See ya girls. Have a great rest of the week.

McDonough is just minutes from me. I go down there to shop frequently and our church is there. What sort of schedule do you have when you are traveling like that? It would be cool if our schedules would let us get together for a few minutes.

Well, I met Gail this morning at Stonecrest and we walked 2 miles. Now I'm off to take Sarah for her blood work. It's been raining/drizzling already and getting colder, although my computer is telling me it's 42 right now. It looks really foggy out too. YUCK!

Hello friends, I have not been on here that much actually have slept most of every day especially these last 4 days. I have Bronchitis and even with the antibiotic don't seem to be getting any better. The Med Center called this evening but I did not answer (at the time did not know it was them) so they called Gina since she was my "emerg" number and now after talking with her they want to see me again in the morning. So after IMP is off to school we will go.

Sorry that I have not been here for all of you. Kimmyo so very happy for you that it is not cancer. But what a large mass.

And moving into your own place Stacey oh that has got to be one of God's greatest blessings to you and family.

Love and prayers

Good grief, girlfriends, I had NO idea that it had been since Jan.31st that I posted! I've really just been distracted, I guess, pretty scattered and squirrely, lol. Plus, my computer was in the hospital from this Monday AM until about noontime Wednesday...got her back just in time to go to work! So I'm still trying to play catch-up here.

And, our situation is still about the same, altho this week it looks I'm going to have a five-day week, which will help a lot. It's not in a row, but off today, and then again Sunday. Hopefully next week will be back to two on, one off, two on, two off, but, if it turns out to be five again, like I said, that will help a lot.

Kimmyo...(((((((HUGS))))))) and of course, prayers. That's good news about the pre-lim test...no doubt the final results will be good, too. While you're out of work, are you reading any good books, or doing any crafting? Of course, I can spend literally hours and hours a day on the computer, so I'd be able to deal with the ten days off, I have no doubt. But, I would love to retire, so maybe our ages make a difference in our attitudes about being home, lol. And, I can retire in six years, and am looking forward to it, a LOT!!!!!!!

Martie, keep up the good work with the weight loss. You've done so well with it. I felt the same way about my first mammogram, it was nowhere near as bad as I'd thought it would be, altho it's not something I'd care to do every day, lol. Prayers for your friend, and for your hairdresser's brother. It doesn't matter that you don't know his name, God does. BTW, are you still getting the AngelFood and doing the coop? We haven't gotten it in a long time now, and yes, I miss it.

Stacey...YIPPEE! I am SO glad for you, and I know you are going have such a good time moving into your own house, and getting all settled in! I don't usually say this, but I sure do envy you, lol...you're going to have a workshop. Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy! And, Matthew is still in m prayers.

Mouse, yes, I did indeed hang the World's Ugliest Painting...it's in the living room, to the right of my computer. As I was working on it one of the last times, I realized that it told MY story, and that it was very, very spiritually oriented...to me, anyway. To anyone else, tho, it's just blobs and squiggles of colors, with feathers glued over it, lol. That's ok, tho, I know what it really means, lol. I watched superbowl, too, and thought it was a fantastic game...have to admit I was kinda glad that the Patriots won...after all, I'm from New England...sorry, ladies! But I did cheer for the Panthers a couple times...I always yell when someone is making a good, long run, and they did that at least twice that I remember. Congratulations on the A in English...I expected no less! You don't give yourself enough credit.

Lianna, thanks, I'm ok, I just didn't realize how long it had been since I posted...like I said, I get distracted very easily, and then the computer was gone a couple days. It sure does work a whole lot better now, much faster...it's so nice to have it back. Hope you have a good time in Madison at the wrestling matches, and hope that his team wins. I know there is a MAJOR difference, but I love watching wrestling on TV...WWE...RAW, and SMACKDOWN. They call that stuff pro, but actually, I think the high school wrestlers are more professional, doing the real thing, and not just entertainment.

Pag, I sure hope you get over that nasty bronchitis SOON! I've had it many times, and it just feels like you're dying, and you don't care if you do. (((((((HUGS)))))))and prayers. If you're too sick to post, does Gina know how to let us know how you're doing? We'd appreciate it, y'know.

Ok, I don't have anything else to say, I don't think, so, to all the Front Porch Gang, good night, and God bless.

Joyce Gina could give an update IF I wanted her to nose around my puter and I don't. They told her today there is a chance I could have pneumonia or the flu. IF tomorrow when we go back to the DR they tell me I have either one I am going to BEG them to put me in hosp. If I have either of those my nerves would not take it me being home and all the noise etc here. So if I DON'T POST ANYTHING TOMORROW OR NEXT COUPLE DAYS YOU WILL KNOW WHERE I AM. Thanks guys for the prayers sure needed and welcome.

Take care all,

Well pneumonia is still and IFFY thing. But Dr said they would do the same thing in the hosp as I will be doing here. I start prednisone tomorrow 5 tablets for 2 days then 4-2 then 3-2 down to 1 for 2 days. So please pray that this works and I start feeling more human. Had 2 breathing treatments today first one the awhile later another one which was a double.

Where is everyone none of the threads have let me know any new posts in couple days now. Take care and God bless

Patti, sorry you've been so sick. Hope that prednisone does its job quickly.

We've just been really busy. Today was Skylar's 6th birthday. She chose to do Build-A-Bear at the mall instead of a party (Works for me!!). That was fun. She also chose to go to Red Lobster for her birthday dinner tomorrow after church. Then we are driving to Milner to look at a log cabin on 7.35 acres.

I better make sure all the clothes are ready for church and head to bed now. Have the rest of a great weekend!
