Is anyone else enjoying this beautiful fall day? A few clouds, but it is so nice today. Too bad I'm at work .

Judy I agree with you the weather is GREAT today. I drove into Atlanta today to do some shopping and see an old friend. Just got home about 15 minutes ago. Now to decide what's for dinner.

martie your trip sounds so wonderful, I loved reading about it but I agree with Sharon, more descriptions on the kind of food they served. Sounds like ya'll did really good on the shopping and got some great bargains especially your sister. I also have one sister and we are best friends except she still lives in Texas, wish I could talk her into moving to GA and she wishes she could talk me into moving back to Texas. One day, maybe when Jerry retires and depending on what my oldest son does.

kim thanks for the great Thanksgiving and Christmas site, I have looked around a little on it and then I marked it so I can do some more looking. The turkey poop is cute.

Everyone else have a great day.

Good Morning All,

A gray drizzley day today but, it is 60 degrees. Thats not bad for the end of Nov.

I am battling a cold and I think it is winning! But who has time to be sick anyway? Not me. I do feel better than I have the last couple of days.

I've got lots of projects that I need to do this weekend. DS and I have to make an Indian doll out of a wooden clothespin and collect ten leaves for a class project they are doing. I will have to look through my craft stuff to see what I have. Of course he wants it to have a feather headress. May require a trip into town to the Hobby Lobby. Do they make feathers that small? May have to make my own feathers

Need to do some Holiday shopping. I have bought a few Christmas gifts but not many. Hubby had some "safety bucks" at work that we could use in their gift shop. He works at M&M Mars. So I went down to the gift shop and Pat the store manager told me he had $150 he hadn't spent any in a long time. By the time I got finished he had 50 cents left
I got M&M radios for all my Nieces and nephews, a really nice denim shirt for my FIL and lots of stuff that I haven't decided who I will give to but I'm sure they will come in handy for school gifts.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Kelly

Nice haul Kelly lol. Did hubby say anything when he found out he had grand total of 50 cents left?

MOUSE got a problem EVERY mail I have sent you lately has come back as rejected. Do you somehow have me blocked? Just thought I would let you know.

I too am battling a cold and think it is also winning. Depending on how I feel in the morning as to whether I will be going to church or not. And I hate missing church as you know but if I feel this way no sense in exposing others as well as other germs to me. More later friends

Hello, everybody, looks like y'all have been busy while I've been here sulking. Went in to work this afternoon, and turned around and came home...I just plain feel crappy, period. I've had a nasty chest cough for about three weeks now, which wakes me up constantly at night, so I'm tired, my nose/sinuses are all runny/stuffy, but believe it or not, I'm not really sick...jsut plain miserable. Ok, this isn't enough to keep me home, but then this morning...and later on this afternoon after I got home...I had a bout with, well, it's just nasty, ok? I'm sure you get the idea. I took an immodium around one, but it just hit me again, so I guess this might be for real, eh? Anyway, I'm 90% sure it's no more than stress, anger, frustration, worry...all of which will take its toll eventually, as we all know. In other words, this, too, shall pass, I'm sure. I'm exhausted, also, just plain tired, tired, tired!

Kelly! Hello, nice to meet you. Had to chuckle at your remark about having to work before going to work, lol...know the feeling, in fact. Did you say where you work? If you did, would you mind saying it again? And if you didn't, would you mind telling? The Inquiring Mind wants to know.

Judy, we've had some pretty weather here, too. Today was kinda grey, tho, and we just a couple sprinkles of rain on the skylight. But it was still warm enough that I sat out on the carport for awhile when I got home this afternoon. I'd tried to take a nap, but couldn't sleep, so decided to go out there and just sit for awhile. It's very peaceful there, even with the traffic on the street in front of the house. Did you post where you work? I missed it if you did.......

Pag, how are you doing? You and your family have been in my thoughts lately, as well as in my prayers. That's a shame that you can't go to the performance with Navywife...hope y'all get to do lunch.

Kim, thanks for the link to that website. I've put it on my monitor and plan on browsing over there later on. It must be an offshoot of www.organizedhome.com, right? How's the new house coming? Got pictures to post for us yet?

Sharon, decorating a cabin for Christmas makes me think of pine cones, lots of greenery, very natural stuff, in other words. See what you can come up with from the stuff growing around you, add a few bows and ribbons, maybe??? Does that help any? I haven't given a lot of thought to decoration yet...I do know that this year there's no room to put up the tree. The spot where we put it last year has Dearly's computer sitting there now. Not really a problem, as I can do Christmas quite nicely without the tree...we did it a couple years ago. It's amazing what you can do with houseplants, lol.

Hey, Mouse, what's going on up there on the mountain? Isn't it about time for you to make another trip to town?

Elizabeth must still be working on her new floors...sounds like hard, physical labor to me...not something I'd care to do, y'know. I wish her and the Ol' Curmudgeon a lot of luck!

Navy, that just doesn't seem right about the learner's permit, lol. I KNOW you're not old enough for a daughter that age, bless your heart. Oh, well, just wait until you realize that your oldest is 35, ok? Quite shocking if I let myself think about it, lol!!!

Linnea, oh, Linnea, wherefore art thou??? I haven't seen you around lately...ok, so I'm not the most dependable poster either, lol. You doing ok? How are the aches and pains these days?

Ameyezing, hello. I hope your week-end goes well. Is the weather still nice in Savannah?

Stacie, you sure are busy lately. I'd like to have the directions for the beadies...do you also have pictures of them? The cane has had a few things...not many...added to it. Another feather with an old trade bead on it, held on by rawhide, and a silver star(because I AM a shining star, lol) and a bolt of lightening made from copper that E. did for me. The lightening is the closest I can get to the "thunder" in my name...Singing Thunderheart. I'm going to eventually use the woodburning tool and engrave "courage" down the length of it, as I've decided that her name is Ms. Courage!!!!! The only other thing I've decorated so far is the plain white dish in the bathroom that I keep my makeup in...it's now pink and green and gold...very colorful. I've got a couple other things in mind, but don't know when I'll get the gumption to do them...we know how lazy I am, right?

Martie, I so enjoyed the pictures of your cruise. You took some beautiful shots, nice and clear. Those shots of the ocean are amazing, I love the colors in them just like you do. I've got a few questions for ya. About the pirate ship: do they really still *pirate,* or is it just for show? About the food displays...that are gorgous, btw...incredible works of art! The ice sculptures...how long do they hold up? The cheese sculptures...do they actually get eaten or are they just for pretty? Same question about the flowers made from vegetables, and those birds made from squashes.

Well, I guess I'm thru for this time. Y'all just try to have a good week-end, hear? Anybody heard from Shanti or Jiggly? God bless.

Patti,

Hubby was standing in the background watching while I was on my shopping frenzy. The store is inside the plant so he was with me. I asked him if he wanted anything and he said"no" he didn't see anything he wanted. He was just happy I was finding gifts for Christmas. That's less real money he'll have to spend. I did get myself a real cute pair of PJ's with M&M's all over them.

Joyce...nice to meet you too. I guess I didn't say where I work at. I work as a pharmacy technician for CVS pharmacy. I know what you mean about being on your feet all day. I work 2 -10 hour shifts and 2- 5hour shifts each week. Most days I don't sit down at all. Not even for lunch. I work in one of the smaller pharmacies and there is only 1 pharmacist and 2 techs most of the time. It keeps us busy. I like it that way though. Makes the day go by faster when you are busy. If there are too many people we just get in each others way!

Good Sunday Afternoon Ya'll!!!

Lazy, gloomy, chilly, rainy, day here. I think I will make some vegetable soup. I have a lot of fresh veggies in the fridge I need to use up before they go bad and some chicken in the freezer. Would rather make a chicken pot pie but the soup will be lower in fat and healthier soooo soup it is!

Kelly thats so cool that you got to do some shopping without $$$$!!

Mouse and Joyce glad ya checked out the Christmas site. I got some great gift basket ideas from there and can hardly wait to go shopping to fill my baskets. I actually have a girl to shop for this year since Zach's gf will be spending the holidays with us. I bought her a few gifts and will do a stocking for her too so she will not feel left out!

Short work week for me this week yeah!!!! I work Monday and Tuesday and then I am off for 5 days! Can you believe it? Wednesday is my regular day off and we are off on Thursday for Thanksgiving. I took Friday as my last vacation day and I have Sat and Sun off so I get 5 off for 1!!! Woohoo!!!

I plan to clean house Wednesay and get laundry done and prepare my dishes for Thanksgiving. Thursday we are going to Johnny's aunts to eat. Friday we are SHOPPING!!!! Yippee!!! Thats right I am one of those idiots who LOVES to shop the day after Turkey! It is my all time favorite crazy day to shop!!! This year I've convinced my DH to go too!! OK yes I drugged him first....LOL I am hoping to get all my shopping done except for DH's gift. Then I plan to spend Sat and Sun decorating and wrapping gifts.

Okay so I know it sounds like I'm really organized but hardly this is just my dream plan!! The reality I'm sure will be much more chaotic. I really do need to get as much done as I can though because the next few weeks will be soooo busy and go so fast I won't have much time for anything else. My next few weeks looks like this:

Christmas Luncheon for ALTRUSA on Thurs Dec 2.
Clinic Christmas Party on Sat Dec 4.
Johnny's Company Dinner on Sat Dec 11.
Johnny's Extended Family Dinner on Sat 18.
Christmas eve early with Johnny's family then home for the evening with our kids.

On top of all of this my boss will be on vacation in Aruba Dec 10-18, which means my work weeks will be busy and full! The Clinic does close 1/2 day on the day before Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years and all day on the holidays. Other than that we have regular working hours.

What's everyone else doing for Thanksgiving?I will ask before the Inquiring Mind does!!! Joyce hope you feel better soon. Push fluids!!!

Okay I've rambled on enough. I better get off here and get that soup on!

Have a great day everyone!!!

Kim

Evening everyone,

Joyce you just have to get yourself well. You have been feeling bad for to long. Maybe you really should go to the doc for a physical. Now I know you aren't crazy about doctors BUT.......we all want you happy and healthy. I was in town last week but it was a busy trip as I had about 4 errands to do also at different ends of town. I did have brunch with an old friend that I haven't seen in a couple of months. Soooooo I will come in next week and we will have coffee and pie if you are feeling better. We didn't end up going to the movies the other day cause we are going to go Wednesday, the kids (Lacy mostly) wants to see a movie that comes out Wednesday so decided to wait. Christmas with the Krauts or something like that, it is suppose to be funny anyway.

Kim I love to go shopping the day after Thanksgiving also but I always take Jerry (I think he loves going to) and fighting all those crowds of people for the best sells. It will be the weekend before I try and put the tree up and start getting things wrapped. We are going to Texas this year I'm pretty sure so I don't know if I can talk Jerry into putting our outside lights out or not, guess it will depend on how early in Dec. we leave for Texas.

Oh heck I have to go, I'll be back later.
