I am in Roseau... 10 miles from the Canadian Border, nice and cold up here!! But then we are used to it as we are from Canada anyways

How nice to meet you! I am in Fairmont, close to the Iowa border. I have been up north near where you are a time or two though.

I am from Missouri, but I have lived in MN for 7 years now. We went to Canada on vacation a few summers ago, it was lovely. We spent a few days in Thunder Bay. It has been cold here, we were at -0F one night, but it's in the 20's now today. I much prefer summer!!!

We moved up here from Spencer IA... we only lived there for a year and a half but I really liked the area!!

-0.... we had windchills of -40 on Monday!!! LOL... we finally got up to 0 yesterday, they are saying 22 for tomorrow. geez.. it is going to feel like freakin spring!!!! LOL

oh well... we all survived

Yep, I am a stay at home mom. I home school my 2 boys ages 10 and 6. My husband and I pastor a Home Missions church here and he is also a reporter and humor columnist for our local newspaper. I have had a few jobs in my time, the last one was as a DJ at our local am station. I really enjoyed it, but I gave it up to be with my family more. This is fun!

I am glad to get to know you. Keep in touch! Your name sounds familiar, are you on the postcard swap thread or the home schooling one?

Nope.. I am not on either one of those threads... I actually havent been around lately on these boards... we moved out of town a few miles and I lost my cable internet

and this dial up is soooooo slow it is frustrating!!!!
I like the frugal boards.. when I have time I pop in once in awhile.

I am a SAHM too.... love being at home with the kids.. I have a daughter (6) in grade one and a son (3 1/2) My dh works at Polaris in the ATV division. We are canadian and I actually cant work because dh is on a work visa.. once he gets his green card THEN I can work.

Oops.. I better run.. gotta get to church!!! LOL
