How Was Your Fourth?

;-) Hi There!

Haven't heard from anybody in quite awhile. Renee, Diane, how was your 4th? Hope it was great! and hope the kids are all doing well.

I'm anticipating a two-week visit from my oldest (8 years) grandson, "little" Michael. He's flying in from Windsor, Canada on Saturday. This is my daughter, Jennifer's, son. She also has a younger (4) son, D.J.

Don't think I said, my kids are dual citizens; U.S. and Canada. My son, "Big" Mike lives in the U.S., and Jennifer lives in Canada. They were both born in Detroit, MI, but their father was Canadian.

Because the kids live so far away, I made a deal to have the grands come and visit (without their parents) for two weeks in the summer, when they each have reached their fifth birthday. So a few weeks ago, my granddaughter, Jesse (5), made her first trek; now little Michael will be here for the fourth time. Next year, all three will "qualify" for a visit. Grandma ought to be pretty well shot after that!

Renee--have you heard anything about deployment for your husband yet? I hope not. They sent some airborn's from Ft. Bragg, but my son didn't have to go--yet. He's still at Ft. Leonardwood, but should be back home by the end of September.

Gotta go; hope to hear from ya'll soon.
