I don't know the temp yet, but it's bright and sunny outside, at least for now. Boy, I can't wait for Spring lol!

I packed away all except two pairs of jeans--everything else is "summer wear". I figure if I get cold, I can swipe one of Ron's sweatshirts!

I woke up to 38ºF temps...wet moisture on the outside of the windows, and the house was so chilly! I think my area is heading into Fall...lol I must of missed Summer last week. We did have a couple of days of 90ºF weather.

Hello Simply Sue! I am just finding this post from you.
Great to meet you and you live in MQT? That is great! I love to make shopping trips to your area, you have so many more stores that my town.
You have a sister that lives in Baraga?

I suppose you have heard all about the large amounts of snow here...last I heard 220" of snow has fallen..there is almost no more places to put the snow. ha ha

Janet we know the feeling of not knowing where to put it anymore LOL I saw an advertisment on a bucket loader when I was on my way home from pickin Jacob up from preschool. It said "call for snow removal, will also haul away"!DH has been plowing ours into the backyard as best he can but we are sure hoping for a thaw in February being we didn't see one in January. I don't know how many inches our area has.
Acutally my DSister lives in a tiny lil place outside of Baraga, it's one of those blink and you miss it kind of towns...or is it a village, I'm not sure.
Myself I live about 15 miles outside of Marquette.Yes, they have a lot of stores but oh how I hate the crowds and traffic there!
Pag36, My DH was also born in Detroit, my DMIL grew up there.

I was taken away from Detroit by parents/g-mom when I was 8 weeks old. Have no idea what the place is like. I was born in a Catholic Hosp named Grace and my DR (Mom's) was Oppenheimer J Cotton. I don't know if the hosp is still there or not or when it was built. I am 73 yrs young

DH's family moved into the northern lower penninsula before he turned 5 years old so he doesn't remember much except visits to his Grandparents home and then they didn't see much of the city, just Grandparents house.Short trips I guess....

Simply Sue, sure is nice to know there is another Yooper here on FC..does your sister come to this site too?

Page...well sure Detroit is part of MI too! Where did your parents re-locate you to?

Here is a link to a blog that shows our 2009 Snow Statue Photos..they are pretty good, since they are closer up. You will either have to scroll up or scroll down to see the photos.
