Am happy you enjoyed your Easter Day. We did, too. The ham tasted so good, and there still is enough for another meal, plus some pea soup, which we shall have tomorrow.

Hope you have a nice day tomorrow.

Blondie I love homemade pea soup..I am the only one..all of our ham is now gone, and the bone is picked cleaned..but I will still have pea soup..Progresso Pea Soup..I love the Veggie one they have. hee hee

It is 5ºhere today..above zero for a change, so pea soup for brunch sounds goood!

What are your temps in Fl?

Hi all! And welcome to mamahomeschools! My sister used to live in White Lake--it's a nice area! I wasn't too crazy about the suicidal deer that would race helter-skelter across Dixie Hwy, though, lol!

I hope everyone had a nice Eatser. We did, though we were all glad when the day was over--Matt woke up at about 2 a.m. and ran screaming to his brother's room. "Vincent--look at all the eeegggsss!!!!" They totally wanted to do the hunt right then. We got them back to bed, and the hunt occurred at 5:30, then we went to church for the sunrise service and another egg hunt. Then it was off to Grandma's for the day(including another egg hunt). She ended up keeping the kids overnight, and I have to say, the hubby and I were glad for the peace and quiet when we got home lol! We also got lots of leftovers to bring home, which is great because the next few weeks are going to be very tight for us!

Janet--hope you can see out your windows lol--we've never been snowed in, but we did have a drift once that covered our side window. Spooky!

Janet~~~

It is 66 degrees at this time ~~12:49 PM, and the air smells so good after a misty rain. It has been a combination of gray skies, and short periods of sun, with a forecast of heavier rains about 6:30 this evening. I hope they mean it this time. One day last week when we were said to have rain (and didn't), we were told on the news it did rain in some areas, but in others it dried up before it reached the ground. ~~Ever hear that one? LOL!
Anyway, I am happy as a lark with what we have today, because talk says 80s are back on the way.I'm completely comfortable as is.
We had some pea soup awhile ago, and I feel like a blimp. It certainly is filling.

I hope your weather warms up higher than 5 degrees soon. Have a good day.

Mrs Maniac, our snow banks are melting today, and every once in awhile we hear a rumble and the snow is coming off the roof..whew! I am so glad to see that.

I heard we might get hit again..but I am remaining positive the weather man is wrong! hee hee.

Blondie-it was 32º here today..too cold to do anything outside.

Hugs, Janet

I live in Grandville, a suburb of Grand Rapids. I grew up in the Ludington area on the western lakeshore. I miss the lake so bad. The further you live inland, the warmer it gets. In Grandville yesterday, it hit 91 and up in Ludington, it was only 76. Big difference. Hope everyone has a fantastic Memorial Day weekend!! I know that a lot of the Michigan areas are doing their Click it or Ticket campaign so buckle up or pay the price!!!

Hi Abby! Here in Yale, we're far enough away from the lake(in Port Huron) that we usually don't get the cold off the water. It's actually like a little bubble--most of the really bad weather is below I-69, over in the Port Huron area, or way west of us! We rarely get hit with anything extreme. Today is a bit overcast with a few showers-temp is 72* right now. It was supposed to go higher, but I don't think it will make it.

Can you believe these gas prices? It's crazy! Ron and I agreed that any shopping will be done by him, on his way home from work. Even the "big shops" like Sam's Club--it will still be cheaper for him to drive the Jeep to work those days than for me to drive all over Port Huron for things!

Hello all Michigan residents!

It is a chilly, windy 54ºhere now in the U.P. of Michigan.

We are either having 50º temps or high 80º. I prefer the higher temps..lol

What is it like in your neck of the woods?

Hugs, Janet

Hi Janet! It's cold and windy here, too. I'm hoping it gets nicer by the weekend--we'll be beginning our move to the new house, where we have to do some painting. I'd love to be able to open all the windows! One day is painting, the next is refinishing a few floors--if it's raining they'll take forever to dry

Mrs Maniac,

Just when I thought it would be a nicer morning..I awoke to find a 41ºF temp!

Gee whiz! What gives with our weather?

It was sunny today, so that was nice. I wore socks, with sandals, capris, long sleeve t-shirt and a sweatshirt jacket...so basically I looked Kooky! but I refuse to put long pants back on again...not till the snow flies, and I pray that does not come tomorrow. lol

Janet
