Hi,
We live in Marion Co. Southeast side. Grew up in Marion Co. in the Southport area. I have lived here all my life.
Love writing, genealogy, cooking, and gardening. Take after my parents and have tons of flowers and always raise a garden and can. I'm 54.
Would love to get to the country someday - but odds are I'll always be here. Even though we are in the city - we have a small "homestead" here. Good size garden, grape vines, raspberries, rhubarb, etc. I recycle and try to be as green as possible. Have a ccouple rain barrels. City girl with a country heart!!!
I live in Evansville, and also live in the city. We have 2 backyard chickens. I have planted a grape vine and we have a garden on the way. I would really like to someday have a manual crank wringer washer to save on electricity.
I had to laugh when I read your post Dawn because I have a crank wringer in a box and have no idea what I'm going to do with it. I think DH got it in a lot at an auction back when he used to go to those. I guess one day we'll come across some ideas of what to do with it!
My grandmother used to have a wringer washer and I remember watching her run those clothes through that wringer.

Maybe we need to start some chatting between you and I and others will join!
My DH and I are retired and live in the woods enjoying life as much as we can. He was in an accident several years ago that crushed both legs and he has a closed head injury from it also that has caused his memory to not be good; he has dementia from it. So life is short and we are enjoying what we can while we can. You?
