Well we finished the card game, Christy has gone home and the kids are getting ready for bed. Tami thanks a lot for letting us keep it here, you are great.

Well I figure there might be a lot of folks reading but they only know I'm mouse, they don't know me like all ya'll do so they can just imagine I'm a fat mouse. I am 5'3" and weight 173 but the bad part is I was 98 until I had my first kid at 26 then I weighed 115 for the next 3 years, then had my second kid and weighted 120 for the next 3 years and had my 3rd kid and weighted 130 for the next 3 or 4 years. Then I went through a terrible depression for a whole year where I didn't do anything but sit in my chair or lay in bed. I got on depression medicine after that and even though I was getting up moving the meds made me gain about another 30 pounds up to 160 and the other 13 I have put on all by myself over the last 10 years. I had a c-section with each kid also. Most of my weight seems to be in my stomach and I hate that. It takes all my will power to put on a bathing suit and go swimming even though I love the water. No one has ever walked up to me at the pool or the beach and said "lady you are to fat to swim" so I don't know why it bothers me so much but it does. Jerry never even says "Babe you need to lose weight, you are getting fat" but every time I go to my bathroom in the mirror I can see how fat I am.

I will start in the morning also leigh so sign in after you have walked and I will do the same. There is a weight watchers food group on family corner in the food section that I may look at but diet food sounds gross so I'm not sure. I may just try to eat less.
Everyone have a good night.

Mouse, Dolly Parden lost 1/2 a ton of weight just eating less! So I figure I can, too. She says she eats anything she wants to, just less of it. Of course, I really have to watch my food choices because I'm diabetic. but it still works.

I have decided that I cant start both things at the same time. I think Id go crazy if I went on a diet, per say, and started the exercising too. I think I will start with the exercise and just try to be more concious(sp?) of what I am eating and how much. I guess that sounds like a diet, but I think you guys get what I am trying to say, lol!! I have thought about getting a bike too, but Lord knows, I havent ridden one since I was a teenager, I might fall off, lol!! We live in a dirt road too, so I dont know how well a bike will do out here. Ahh, excuses, excuses, lol!!

I will check in tomorrow and let everyone know how far I walked.

Oh Pag I forgot, I'm sorry. If you go to where the list of all the different threads are and then go to states and go to GA and click once it takes you to GA it will have the different threads under GA and in one place it says how many posts there are and right after that it says views and that tells you how many people have viewed what we have written.

Some of those are us just going in to read and not posting that day or whatever like that but probably a bunch of them are just other folks reading and not posting. Like when I get the newsletter a lot of times I will go read a certain thread and not post, just see what others are thinking or saying.

Good night,
mouse

Ok, ladies, here I go!
I am 5'2" and weigh 285. I am committed, or need to be, LOL, to getting this weight off, so in for a penny off with the pound. (To paraphrase, of course)

I have started today with 1/2 my normal amount of sugar in my coffee, and have had one glass of water. I am doing my grocery shopping today, so I will be parking far out in the lot and getting some walking in that way. I am not going to do this in any drastic manner. It came on slowly, so I will take it off slowly.

Good luck everybody!

Thanks Tami!

You are right Sharona it came on slow best to get it off slow. We try to park a bit away from the door too for the exercise UNLESS my back or knees are giving me a fit then not so far away. With the basket to lean on in the stores I don't do so bad.

Headed out shortly take care friends and God bless

Dh bought me a scale today. So tomorrow is the day for me.
I have been eating a little lighter every day anyway, and walking some. but tomorrow must be my starting day! I will count, weigh, and measure eveything I eat. I will weigh myself every week, and I will walk as long as the weather allows. If the weather won't allow walking, I'll find some other actitivity to get myself moving.

Good luck, ladies! Do we want a weekly accounting of ourselves here? If I don't account to someone else, I won't "behave"!!

Hi everyone,
Sounds like eveyone is really motivated. I am so excited that we are all doing this together! I have been doing it for a week already and although I haven't weighed I can tell that I have lost a few pounds.

I went to the gym and walked a mile on the tread mill last night. I didn't go tonight. I worked all day and had scout meetings after so I am just getting home. Will go tomorrow for sure. I am trying to go 3 times a week but 4 would be better.

Hugs,
Kelly
