Good luck either way Dianne. I hope Tami can work something out to let us keep it here.

Hey Sharon thanks that is a cool site you set up. Tell you what though I'm gonna wait and see what Tami finds out before I post anything cause I am like Dianne I am to embarrassed to post for the world to see. I hate how much I weigh right now. Ok Kelly you have already started the gym and martie is going to Curves and walking all the time so I will start walking on the mountain tomorrow. I can't walk real far at a time right now cause my lungs stink but am suppose to quit smoking July 1st and hopefully my lungs will get a little better. Once the pool and exercise and weight room open at the bottom that will help me and that should be in July. More to come............maybe.

I'm with the rest of you. I would prefer this stay on the GA porch but, it doesn't really matter because anyone can look at our posts no matter what thread they are on. There have been 40+ views of this thread already. So, what I'm trying to say is I'm sticking with it no matter what. I've already posted my weight. I think it might shame me into staying on a diet! I know DR. scales always weigh a little heavy but I will stick with that # since I will be using his scales to gage my weight loss. I won't be able to post how much weight I have lost regularly but I will let you know how it is going.

Dang Kelly you weren't kidding, there have been 45 folks reading now and I looked at the porch also and there are a BUNCH of folks reading and not posting. I didn't know so many folks were interested in what we were saying. Ok you are right, heck I am going to go play a game right now but will post again later tonight. Wish all those folks would post a quick hi so we knew who they were.

I am so glad this thread is staying here!!!! Now, if I can just get myself motivated to get this weight off of me!!!! I have got to get out and start exercising!!!! I guess my thing with losing weight is that I know it wont come off fast and I wish it would. I keep saying to myself, I need to lose weight before summer get s here, well .............. here it is and I still weigh 196lbs!!!!

My goal this week is to get out and start exercising.

Well, I'm happy we can keep our thread here, even if others can read it. I do wish people would let us know they are interested in what's going on with us. LOL!

So, on to the bad news. I'm 5'4" and know my weight last Monday was 228.5. UGH! That is up from a few weeks ago and I know it's that dang Bruster's ice cream. LOL!

I need to make sure I stay on track with Curves, get back to walking regularly and maybe even some with the girls.

I'd LOVE to just get below 200 for right now. I think someone said to figure out what 10% of your weight is and have that for your first mini goal and keep at that until you reach your final goal. My final goal is 150-160 - depends on how I feel when I get to those numbers.

Gotta remember to drink lots of water too. It really makes a difference for me.

Martie, a good friend of mine has lost 100lbs. on weight watchers. She also started walking every day, usually in the mornings. She is about your height and started her diet/exercise at 232 lbs. She is now down to her goal weight. She was a size 22/24 when she started, she is a size 8 now.

Ok! I'm pretty happy. My dh is heading to Wal-Mart tomorrow to price scales for me. I understand that my dr's scales will weigh me differently, but I will have a general idea of what I weigh.
The last dr visit (a year ago ) I weighed 216.
I am only 5'3" tall, and I am diabetic. I know I weigh more now, and my sugar is too high.

My dh and I both need to walk more. He loves to walk with the three girls, I just need to get up and go with them.
