Arkansas Natives

Hello! Fellow Arkansans...Say hello and where you are from. I'd looooove to meet you.

In the past we've lived and worked in the following counties before retiring to Missouri: Ouachita, Garland, Pulaski, Union [ug!] and Washington. We meet wonderful people everywhere. We are Church of Christ.

Hope to hear from you and, GOD bless all.

I was born and raised in Ky, but met hubby who was raised in Jacksonville, AR (Pulaski) in the Army. We were both stationed in Germany, he was just returning from Saudie Arabia. We moved here in 1999 and have been living here ever since.

We are both out of the service now. I am retired medically and he got out on a hardship/ honorable discharge because of my disability.

He is a Minister and we are of the Apostolic/Pentecostal faith. I am so glad to meet others from the natural state.

I love to go shopping, camping, fishing, work in my flower gardens, decorate my home, and work with my fish tanks, I also collect cookbooks and study the bible.

First and formost in my life is God and my family. I have 2 girls and they are Nicki, 24 and Sarah, 26 and both are married. the oldest has my grandson Ethan who is 4 going on 30. LOL! Sarah is also expecting my 2nd grandchild in August. I can't wait! LOL

Well that is this Arkanasan transplant in a few words. Nice to meet you all. I hope to meet lots more sweet people here.

Many Blessings
Eva

I'm an Arkansas native born in Mtn. Home Arkansas and raised in the Flippin, Arkansas area, Home of Ranger Boats. I was born in Baxter county and raised in Marion County. I have lived in Baxter and Marion county at times. I enjoy Arkansas a lot, I like the outdoors and enjoy watching wildlife in the area. Like squirrels, deer, birds and such. I hope to hear from other fellow people born in or who have lived in Arkansas.

God bless.

I was not born nor have lived in Arkansas but my sister lived there for 15 years while her dh worked at the University of A. in Fayetteville. I visited her two or three times and think it is a beautiful part of the country.

Your right Arkansas is a great place to live and it has some great things you can see and do around here. I have never been to Fayetteville, but have cousin who lives there. I have been to Little Rock, Mountain View, Benton, Bryant, and several other towns in Arkansas besides the area where I live. I like Arkansas a lot. I know someone who works as a coach in Fayetteville, Arkansas too. A lot of people I know do live in Fayetteville, AR. Thanks, for chatting with me. It is neat to hear others talk about Arkansas. I enjoy this state so much and have since I can remember.

My sister said that the way to ornament a truck in Arkansas is to have not just a gun in the rack in the back window but also to have a broom stuck upside down in that hole by the back tailgate. Now that is practical! I think here in the Northeast we would have to figure out a way to do that with a snow shovel.

Yes, you have to have a broom handy. Some had guns in rack, but not everyone. When we get snow, a lot of times if it is bad we will get alot of ice. Usually though we have mild winters and not much snow, once in awhille we get a lot of Snow in the winter time.
