Hey everyone! Just thought I'd jump in here for a minute and see what was happening...uh looks like nothin here! LOL
Hope everyone is doing well. I hear from Patti and Mouse and Elizabeth via email every now and then so I know they are still kicking with gusto! Sharon you must be getting ready for Octoberfest in Helen soon huh? We went to Pigeon Forge a couple weekends ago for the Grand Rod Run Car Show...had a nice time. Just working now and watching Football on the weekends...yes we witnessed Ga killing us in overtime! It was actually a good game though. Sure hope ya'll stomp Auburn too!
Take care,
Hello all, don't know how much Gusto I am kicking with but yep am kicking.
I really miss Joyce on here but understand why she isn't. And like Kimmyo I hear from her via personal emails. She has a cough now that has been hanging on but basically she is okay.
Hugs to all the rest on the porch

Just dropping by to let everyone know that I am doing ok. The girls are quickly approaching their fall break here in Hawaii...they get the first 10 days of October off. I know it's too weird...how I miss mainland schools...lol.
So, I have a job interview with Easter Seals on Thursday. I have applied to be a community service provider. I know I said I'd be heading home soon, but that may or may not happen. It's a really long story and when I have more time I'll elaborate. If everyone could keep their fingers crossed for me getting this job I'd appreciate it...I REALLY need a job!
Alrighty ladies, have a good week!!! HUGS!!!!

Just a quick hello to my Georgia buds!!!!
I just have a few minutes on computer then have to go pick Mark up from work. His plant is 20 miles north of town so that is 80 miles everyday back and forth. I think in another week or so he will be able to drive. We will see.
Hi Donna nice to see you on here even if just "popping in". 80 miles that is a good bit of driving. Hope he is soon able to do it himself saves on gas too. Just one round trip not two. Hugs to all

Oh my goodness, How did Gina fall down the stairs? Poor girl!
Happy (is it 9th) birthday today to Imp!!!!!
What have you got planned for his special day?
I wish Joyce had a decent computer.. She does email me but I know she misses being here, too. The porch isn't the same without our Joyce!!!!
Stacy, good luck with the Easter Seals interview!!
Martie,
I WAS doing well with going to Curves then went and broke my toe!!!! Now that Mark has gotten better I just had to go and add to the drama!!! LOL!!!
How bout you? Been Curvin'?
Mouse and Stacy....talking about seeing each other thru a lot of different happenings, both happy and sad, really makes me wish we were all neighbors for real, rather than online, you know.
Marks first two weeks back to work have been good for him. He works 8 till Noon. Comes home and crashes on the couch every day! He is tired but having some purpose is helping him to feel better.
His boss has only given him a little of his work back so he doesn't get overwhelmed. I asked one of his coworkers to watch out for him. I told her if he starts rubbing his arm a lot it means he is hurting but probably won't say anything so she lets me know when I pick him up. Also asked her to encourage him to take stretching breaks and to watch him on the stairs, etc..........
His blood has leveled and so has a whole month now between coumadin labs compared to three days a week when he started.
He still has a slight limp, I guess more like dragging his leg than a limp. He can do a couple hours on the computer at work before his arm starts aching. He has yet to sleep thru the night without waking up with his arm hurting.
He has lost 20 pounds since the stroke and though he had a belly pooch, wasn't a big guy to start with. He is 5'6 and now weighs 150.
I am 5'5 and weigh, WELL about the same plus a few. !!!!!
Now I REALLY need to get to Curves, let me tell you!!!!
I just posted a huge long post and it is gone! To sum it up quickly, I love and miss you all! Things are well here and I will post again later (today) I hope to let you know what has been going on with us over the past few months.
Hugs,
Kelly

Hi again everyone! It's just been crazy busy here and not looking too much better for a few weeks. We are currently preparing for my parents to come sometime the middle of October.
This ended up being a very long post!
Our Callaway Family Reunion is in Atlanta this year. They always attend that and spend a few days with us on the way or after. This year since it is local to me they will be here the entire time and they get to stay longer than usual since daddy is retired from everything now. Fortunately they are great friends with my in-laws who have an extra bedroom so they stay there.
This week was SUPER busy. I had a TOPS meeting on Monday that was to be followed by someone meeting me to work out some issues with her school program on her laptop. She never showed. After waiting about 40 minutes I left. She called an hour later to say OOPS! and she thought she had her issues worked out but would I meet her a tad early on Wednesday. Sure.
Tuesday was a stay home day. I feel I have a few more of these this year than in the past which is great! The only thing I had going on was Mom's Night Out which was a lot of fun.
Wednesday we left at 9:00am to pick up some pictures at Walgreens for Savannah for our photo club. We were at the park by 9:30 to meet said person who didn't show on Monday. Well, she didn't arrive early on Wednesday either. ARGH! She never mentioned anything about whatever issues she was having and so I dropped the whole thing.
Photo club started at 10:00. I had about 15 kids ranging from 5 to 16 attend. They all brought steeple pictures to share. They did a great job on those! Then I sent them out in groups for a scavenger hunt. Each group had a list of items to find in the park to take pictures of. They did a good job and worked on that for about 40 minutes or so. They all said they had fun so I hope they did. I enjoyed seeing their pictures and talking with them.
We left the park and stopped at QT for a snack on the way to the Carlos Museum at Emory. If you have a chance before October 14th to go see the Cradle to Christianity exhibit, you should go. It was really good. However, because of the way they sent me I was a few minutes late. Then waited on the shuttle and had to go in the office to pay for our group. Their computer and then printer acted up a bit (of course, you're in a hurry. What else would a computer do? LOL) So that pushed up behind on our tour and we ended up having to rush a bit to make it over for the story teller on time. Jim Weiss is a great story teller and I learned more about this time in history than I remember hearing before. I'm not sure how long he will be there but he was great!
Headed back to Stockbridge and met my in-laws for lunch at 3:30, stopped at shoe repair to leave shoes and then dropped off the daughter of a friend at her church at 5:00 and headed home. Of course, left at 6:15 to take Savannah to her youth meeting. LOL!
Thursday was a field trip to The Rock Ranch in The Rock, Georgia. It's past Barnesville a little ways. We had a lot of fun there too. Maybe later I can post a picture or two. It poured rain on us during the last hour of our visit but the kids got drenched and thoroughly enjoyed it!
So, other than choir, yesterday was a slow day and today even more so. I need to clean my laundry room really well so we can pull the dryer out and see if it can be fixed. It quit on us Tuesday night. Heating element gets hot, I can turn the drum by hand but it won't run. Go figure! The girls said all our appliances are starting to fall apart. Well, they aren't made to last very long and all of our things are almost 10 years old in this house now.
Better run. I need to go pick up those shoes if they shop is open today. It's SUPPOSED to be but it didn't look open this morning when I whizzed by there forgetting I needed to stop. LOL!
