Hey Everyone! I have been trying to find ya'll for some time now. Wow! Have ya'll been busy!
Mouse I empathize with you...remember we sold our house and lived in a rented trailer...(SMALL) for 3 months before our new house was ready. Hang in there...you could always come to Alabama! LOL
Joyce, Pag, Staci, Rose and anyone else I might have missed it was good reading your posts and trying to catch up. I have really missed all of you. It seems like I never have time to get on the computer (for fun) anymore. Seems like all we do since we moved into the new house is work! (dang that stupid mortgage company!)
Well I just thought I'd see if this works. I have tried to post before and like Rose my post just seemed lost in space.
We will be leaving about 3am for Florida. We are going to Daytona. Alex is so excited he can't sleep. I remember being like that when I was a kid. DH is in the bed trying to catch a few winks before we leave. I am trying to finish up a few things. So, I will be traveling through GA tonight but, guess I'll be asleep.
Talk to you all in a few days.
Hugs,
Kelly

Hi everyone! I lose track of time too easily these days. Had to go back and find the last message saying Stacey had posted to get back over here.
Stacey, All I can say is OUCH! Hope you recover easily and quickly from all that. I must say I'm happy I haven't had to have much done surgery wise and hope I don't. 4 births, 2 were c-sections and then that laporoscopy last August is plenty for me.
Debbie, so sorry about your dh being so sick and the car too. Those things are no fun when they happen. I had to replace tires this past week. That was an ouch to the pocket book too.
Joyce, how are you and WH getting along? The last time we tried to get in to eat on a Thursday evening kinda late, they were busy and with 7 of us, we HAVE to have 2 booths so we left. We were all disappointed. I just can't understand why they don't have a couple of tables for families.
Kim, it was good to see you post again! I know what you mean about working for that mortgage payment. Seems that is all dh has time to do. Work work work.
Kelly, hope you had a great trip! Sorry you were sleeping (and I suppose I was too) so we couldn't meet. Maybe one day... Was it crowded down there? Seemed like all day today the northbound traffic through here was busier than usual and it wasn't from the race either. With them being rained out, that place was empty in record time. And I suppose they won't make it up tomorrow since I read it is supposed to rain through Tuesday and we are under flood warnings from it.
Rose, Mouse, Elizabeth, Sharon, Shanti, Patti and anyone I missed, we'd LOVE to hear from all of you again too!! It's just more fun to sit on the porch with ALL your buddies and chat with a cup of something warm and watch it rain or . YES, I still hold out a small bit of hope for a touch of snow. LOL!
Well, do you remember me telling you about Savannah finding a pattern she wants me to make for her a dress for the Civil War Ball? Well, that was in October I think. We finally bought the fabric today. I have about 5 weeks to get this dress made and it takes about 20 yards of fabric. So far, and I haven't bought EVERYTHING, it's cost me $100!!! Oh well. It will be beautiful on her (I PRAY!) and worth it.
Ya'll have a great evening. I need to wash some dishes and this fabric so I can start working on a dress.

Martie..Good to see you back posting again. Yeah, tell me about the strain of the pocket book on repairs...I just put out 473.00 for all my car parts. It put a major dent in my savings account. The really frustrating thing is..after all of that the car still won't start and my dh can't figure out what else to do. I will never ever buy another foreign car again.
I had to quit my job because of it. My boss told me I will always have a job with her and that she will not let me go and that her and all my other co workers love me and miss me and will be praying for me..I was just crying my eyes out and could hardly talk to her on the phone the other day. So now I am hoping to get a job here closer to home within walking distance..Its been a week and still no job and I am begining to get cabin fever. My dh has to walk to work too..he works in town which is a mile from our house. Oh well..maybe we will get healthier with the walking.
Well I hope everyone else has a great week..
Till next time
Debbie

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the places and moments we see that take our breath away.
Ditzy,
Sorry to hear about your car and job situations We had so many car issues a couple of months ago! I feel your pain.
Martie, Bite your tonge on the snow issue!lol Today is the first day of spring I sure hope we dont see any of the white stuff for a few months!
Although it is cold enough here to snow, 1st day of spring and the temp is currently a whopping 27.7 not including wind chill. I really wish we could of moved south!
Well, it's staying cold - they said cooler than normal temps for the next 30 days. However, no snow in the forecast. LOL!
Debbie, I'm so sorry to hear about your vehicle repairs and still it not running. If you were close enough to me, dh could try to diagnose for you. What year model and type is it? I'm just nosey that way.
Sharon, so glad you found us! Hope it doesn't take you long to read so you can post again. LOL!
How is everyone else? Chilly I bet. Hope you are all doing okay though. Has anyone heard from Mouse? Just curious how the move is going.
Well, it's been a really busy week so far. Monday's of course are ALWAYS busy. However, I had a little extra time this past Monday. I knew ahead of time that my co-leader for TOPS was going to be out. Then I received phone calls from 3 others over the weekend and that morning. 2 of them had sons coming in from out of town - that I TOTALLY understand. When I got home I had a message from another member that she wouldn't be there. I went and set up and waited 30 minutes on the others. No one showed up. So I came back home. It was rather nice but would have been even more so if the others had let me know something came up and they couldn't make it.
Anyway, when Terry's office moved, they ended up with a color laser printer that didn't work and decided to buy a new one. Terry was given the old one. He has a friend who fixed it and we finally got it hooked up Monday night. WOOHOO! I LOVE it!! MUCH cheaper than the inkjet printers for printing stuff for the girls schooling.
Tuesday was a lazy day - should have been cleaning. But a friend called and we chatted awhile catching up. Then another friend Instant Messaged and was heading to the library (it has just moved to the new building) and we decided to meet up there. Spent 2 hours there and then stopped by Wendy's for lunch. Chores in the house? NOTHING got done. OOPS!
Of course, today was Wednesday - another day we tend to be gone most of. Noon is the creative writing class for Savannah and 1:00 - 2:00 is piano lessons for Sarah and Sandi. We met the inlaws/grandparents for lunch at 2:45 and got home at 4:00 after stopping by the post office to mail a package and buy stamps and a money order.
I was home a grand total of 1 hour when it was time to start taking kids to church for choir/play practice, etc. It's busy but it's nice they have things they enjoy doing with friends and they aren't hanging out getting in trouble.
Tomorrow is when we finally go to Noah's Ark. I'll have to remember to update Rose when we get back. It's supposed to be quite chilly again tomorrow so I hope we don't freeze out there. LOL!
Well, I've written a book about nothing. Hope to hear from the rest of you soon! Have a great evening and the rest of a good week!

Well hi ladies, how's it going? Sorry I have been MIA for a while, we have just been so busy. First looking for a house, then finding one and getting the paper work done for that one, constantly calling the folks that are buying this one and pushing them and their lawyer to get it done. So we found a house in Adairsville and we love it. It is quite a bit more than we thought we would spend but it is nice. It has 4 bedrooms, a huge bonus room or what we call the family room, a place for Jerry's office and a two car garage. It is in a new subdivision they are building and only about 5 minutes from I-75, 5 minutes from the new high school and shopping and restaurants. We are going to like it so much better than being in the boon docks like we are now. I was writing Joyce telling her that after we get moved in we will have to have a cookout and invite all the GA ladies so ya'll can see our house. Living in the boondocks we really haven't had much company over cause it is so far out in nowhere land. Anyway we sign the papers on this house on March 29th and then on the new house on March 31st. And then we start moving in. We will have 30 days to be out of this one.
Kim it was great hearing from you. And yes I know what you mean about the mortgage company, ours will be taking all our extra money. The new house is double what this one is plus we will have gas, garbage and water which we don't have now. Have you gotten your house all decorated at this point? We will need some new furniture but will have to buy it out little at a time probably. Get what we have to have at first and add the rest a little at a time.
Doris I looked at the Bird flu site and read some of it. When I think about it, it does worry me also but I try to just not really think about it much. Thanks for the site to look at. How are things going with you?
rosebud I have some Irish in me from my dad's side of the family. Him and my brother have red hair but I have more Italian in me. My grandmother was very much Italian but most people think I have Indian in me, not that I know of anyway. What's cooking lately?
Joyce 12 years to retire??? That's to long!! Seems like you have been at the WH forever already. Jerry has about 6 years before he can retire but will probably work for 8 to 10 more years. Oh Pag is back in her house. The house they were going to get the people left oweing money on it plus seems she said they were into drugs and such so she went back home. linnea has been very busy with work but says she misses the GA porch and wonders if anyone remembers her. I told her we did and missed her also. I think you should put tulips in the new flower bed, we saw some beautiful ones the other day.
Stacey sorry about all the medical stuff you are fixing to have done, it doesn't sound like any fun. Prayers your way.
ditzy so sorry to hear about your car problems and that you had to quit a job you loved. I hope everything works out in the end and ya'll can get the car to running again. We have an old truck we are fixing to find a shop for and put a new motor in and some new tires, then I want it painted and I am going to probably start driving it. It is BIG and I love it.
Kelly hope you and your family have a great time in Florida and hope it is warmer down there than it is here. Do ya'll collect sea shells when ya'll go to the beach? We always love doing that.
martie you are as busy as ever, reading your post wears me out thinking of all the running you and the girls do. I know you will win the weight loss contest cause we are all pulling for you. It sounds like Savannah will look beautiful in the dress. Take lots of pictures so you can post a few. I still get jokes from Elizabeth from time to time and send her a few so I reckon she is doing fine.
Sharon how ya doing? We have missed you. How is work going? I thought of your hubby the last few weeks, in the living room of our new house it is one of those giant tall ceilings that only God could reach and they have flat paint in the room and Jerry wants semi-gloss in the room so he is wanting to get it painted. We may end up hiring the original contracters to do it. Wish ya'll didn't live so far off or we would call your hubby.
Lee I have been cold here for the last few days but it is colder there so I know I would be freezing if I lived there.
Ya'll have a great day and I will hollar back as soon as I can find the time.
