I live in Greenwood. I was born in Little Rock and moved to Greenwood when I was 6 months old. I lived there until I got married and then my husband got stationed in Yuma, AZ so we moved there for 2 1/2 years and then he got out and we moved back to Greenwood.

Well it has been a long while since anyone has been on this thread. So thought I would give it a try and get some people from Arkansas back on here. I am from a little town called Norman, Ar. It is an hours drive to the nearest Wal Mart or any kind of good restaurants. Between Hot Springs and Mena. There is nothing here to do with your kids unless you go out the extra hour drive. But I live out in the country so I can't compain any. I love it here. I was born in Texas and moved here when I was 5 years old, so I have lived here all my life. My husband has lived here all his life also.
I hope people will start posting here again. It is good to know you got someone that probably doesn't live to far from you and you could meet one another. I'm a SAHM so at times it gets pretty boring around the house. All I do is clean, cook, take care of the kids and sit right here on FC. I might go out to Hot Springs once every 2 weeks to go visit my Mom and Sister.
Take care and please do post. I would love to hear from others out there.
Hugs, Becky

Hi, to all you fellow Arkansans. I live in Northern Arkansas myself. I like the small town we live in. It is the town I grew up in, but I have lived in Cotter, AR too and have relatives scattered throughout Arkansas too, as well as friends. I hope all of you are good. I hope to hear from some of you all.

Take care and have a great week.
God bless.

Hi! Just found this website. It's great to read about Arkansas. I grew up there (Little Rock) and lived there my whole life until I went to graduate school in Kentucky. I moved to California three years ago, with my husband's job. What a culture shock!

Hi Mommy4lb&a, nice to met you. I have relatives who live in North Little Rock, Benton, and Bryant, Arkansas, as well as Greers Ferry, Arkansas. I imagine is is quite different living in California after living in Arkansas and Kentucky. I have been to Fort Campbell, Kentucky when my husband's brother lived there. My Mother was born in California and traveled back and forth from California to Arkansas and finally settled in Arkansas permanently when she was in 4th Grade. She was born in Quincy, California. She has been to San Jose, California too, as well as other parts of California. I have friends who live in San Diego, California. Also have some cousins who live in Calfornia too, I think in Redlands. Never been to California though. Maybe one of these days though, who knows. I hope to hear more from you. Take care.

Hello Everyone,
I have lived in NW Arkansas for 4 years now and love it!!!! It really is beautiful here. I was born and raised in California. Boy is life different here from there. I mean that in a positive way!!!! I love how friendly people are here, you didnt find to many people like that in California. I am happily married to a wonderful person of 4 years. We have a beautiful little boy named Dawsi (Dawson) This was my maiden name and I always liked it so we chose that for my sons name. He will be 3 in two days. Time goes by way to fast. I feel very blessed to be able to be a stay at home mom and take care of my son, I am truly grateful!! Enough about me. I look forward to making new friends. Have a great day!!

I have alot of family in Arkansas, although I live in California. I would love to move back there on day. I was raised in California, but spent many of my childhood summers on the farm. Most of my memories are from the wonderful visits with family near Little Rock, Conway, Searcy and Des Arc.

I live in North Central Arkansas. I was born and raised, although I have relatives who live in Arkansas on my Grandpa's side. Also have had cousin born in California and my Mother was born in northern California. My Mom was born in Quincy, CA. She traveled back and forth with family from CA to AR and then finally her folks settled in AR when she was in the 4th Grade. Her parents were from the AR and MO area. My Dad was born and raised in AR. I have never been to California, but my husband has when traveling. I have only been as far west as New Mexico. Anyway, I like AR a lot, I have been to Hot Springs, Benton and Bryant, AR as well as a lot of small towns. I live in a small town too. I have been to Harrison, AR and lots of other places in AR. Even a town called Fifty Six too. Their are some neat names for towns here in AR. Nice to see others joining this dicussion. Hope you all have a great day. God bless.

This is my third year in western Arkansas... I live here during the summer and fall. Then head to south Louisiana for winter and spring. Best of both worlds for me!
