Hello!!

I'd have to agree with you klcrn. There are no cures for stretch marks. Ya just have to hope they fade a "little"!! I have lots of them. Not only from my "child bearing years", but also from weight loss, gain, then loss again. However, they do fade.

I hate seeing all the advertisements for creams, etc. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!!

Well, there ya go, that's my 2 cents!!!!

Lauri

Avon makes a stretch mark remover. I have never used it, but my daughter did. It worked wonderful for her. She had gained over 60 pounds with her pregnancy and had a lot of stretch marks. They have faded considerably. The Avon product is not expensive. If you can't find a representative in your area, you can order on-line. I sell Avon, so if you have any questions, please let me know. The name of the product is Avon Body Re-fine (Stretch Mark Smoother).

Ugh! Stretch Marks!!

Nivea makes a skin firming cream that while it doesn't erase the stretch marks, makes me feel a little better about that area anyway.

Also, a self-tanner sometimes makes them blend in a little more.

Stretchmarks

My son is now 6 months old. I gained a lot of weight while I was pregnant and I had a lot more stretch marks with him than with my daughter. I used the Stretch Mark cream from Avon and it really did work. I was chosen to try it out for a trial period. I could tell a difference after two weeks. After almost 3 months I have no stretchmarks. And now my husband is using it because he has a few due to weight gain. And what's great about an Avon product is it is 100% guaranteed!!

chuckle Stretch marks

When my aunt was pregnant she was going crazy looking for a JAFRA Rep to purchase some oil for her stretch markers. It's the Almond Oil that they sell. Years later a dance instructor of mine became pregnant and was looking for the same oil. I havent been pregnant YET, but know about those awful STRETCH MARKS... I use regular almond oil (not the one for baking).
Almond Oil smell soooo good. You might find it at a discount store or herbal shop. I live on the border of Mexico and Texas, so I just go across the border. It's pretty easy to find overthere.

Good Luck!

I have had success with dry skin brushing. This has reduced stretchmarks and cellulite all over my body!!! I found out about this on the T-Tapp website, and I did a search on google for dry skin brushing. It is supposed to be really healthy, and eliminate toxins from the skin and body. I bought the natural bristle brush at Walmart for about $5. I usually brush before my shower (it takes about 2 minutes), and then follow up with clear aloe vera. It has really helped, and its inexpensive. Hope this helps.

Stretch mark "cures"

Hi Ladies!
I was just reading an article in Glamor magazine in a Dr's waiting room. They sent a number of their staffers to dermatologists and plastic surgeons to compare treatments for some common skin issues. One of the problems they addressed was stretch marks. They tested both laser treatments and topical creams (Retin-A type cream and another that I can't remember). Both treatments were expensive and on a grading scale both got D's for lack of measurable results. The dermatologist they interviewed was very candid and said it all boils down to genetics. If your mama had 'em you probably will too, and vise versa. The only good thing was that they found that while they are still in the red stage (fairly new) they do respond somewhat to the Retin A type creams that build new collagen. But there's no guarantee either way. Bummer for me as I am the queen of stretch marks after 3 dear babies!! Love from MN

stretch marks

Good morning,
I don't how this would work on stretch marks but it works well on scars. Aloette has a product called visible aid that you could try.

Hi,
Try these links for more info on dry skin brushing:

http://healingtools.tripod.com/skinbrush.html
http://www.hps-online.com/skin_brushing.htm
http://self-heal.com/Info/Resource/skinbrush.htm
http://www.emilyakane.com/stretch_marks.html

The last one on the list deals specifically with stretchmarks. I hope this is helpful. My daughter will be two in September. I gained 50lbs during my preganancy, and had some of the worst stretch marks my midwife had ever seen (even though I used every cream I could find). They are almost invisible now. I am going to try the Avon cream now to see if they will totally disappear. Good Luck!

Johna
