I've never heard of Fraxel treatments. Let us know how the dr. appt. goes.

I hadn't either Apricot. But when I went to the doc last she recommended this office as she had some work done there. Its not cheap. For my jawline only, its $150 a pop. Dont ask me where I am going to get this $$$. Apparently I need 3-5 treatments. I dont know if I can bring myself to doing it - but its so bad. It almost looks like I have a beard. Gotta do something. I am keeping my fingers crossed I can get away with 3.....

Jody I have sun damage on my cheeks from riding in the car. Anyway I use plain yogurt on my face at night. Not a bunch put on like a lotion but as it dries your face feels a little tight. It does lighten up the skin after a few days. I would think it would be a milder form of peeling.

Laurie, does it come back if you stop using the yogurt?

The yogurt fades the spots. But then after time the spots will be back. But that is a more natural way to do it. I don't know how bad your discoloration is.

I think its really bad. My brother asked me if my face was bruised when I saw him in May so its noticeable even with my Bare Minerals on. It looks like I have a beard! I dont mind getting older and saggier and all of that stuff. But this "beard" has GOT to go.

It really accentuates my sagging jowls.

YUCK! YUCK! and MORE YUCK!

Is what you have called sun damage?

I also use Vit C serum on my face. I used to get it from Avon and then they stopped selling it for a bit and so I got it off HSN, Jennifer Flavin sells a line of Vit C skin care. Serious Skin Care is what it's called.

What does yr dermatologist say? Do you need a prescribed face cream?

I have used quite a bit of serious skin care and vitamin C products from various lines.

Mine is not sun damage, its hormonal called malasma (sp) so I think that's worse. Its a part of me now. (I think) or harder to get rid of....

I have to go to the market after work and will get some yogurt. Does it matter if its fat free??

I went to the doc early this am and am going to have some treatments. Its bad but she did say my face looks really good sans this melasma issue. So that's good! It doesnt start until next month. I will keep you posted.
