I use witch hazel for my astringent. I keep it in the fridge- it feels sooo good that way! Plus it does double-duty as a scratch and wound cleaner, and the kids like how it doesn't hurt like rubbing alcohol does. You can get a big bottle for about a dollar and it lasts a long time.
