Thanks Coll

I'd never heard of Coal Tar before or this type of shampoo from Neutragena. I did some research on it

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coal_tar

I think if you could find a Pine Tar Shampoo it would probably be safer.

OSI, if pine tar comes from an actual pine tree I will probably be allergic to it. When ever I come into contact with a pine/evergreen I get a rash from it. I found the Nutrogena T-Gel by trial and error. Thats the way I find all the things that I'm allergic to. I can use body washed/shower gels but not bar soaps. Strange huh?

Yup Pine Tar does come from a pine tree, wow allergies really bite, don't they? . I'm allergic to both the body washes and soap commercially made. I don't know what the difference is between my Melt and Pour soap bases and what is on the market but we're talking major hives and skin breaking open, blisters very painful.

I don't know exactly how rough your elbows are ... if scaley, try using a pumice stone in the shower to scrub off the dry skin.

Arbonne has a hand lotion, it runs $14 for hand cream and $19.50 for body cream. I have samples of the hand lotion if you would like to try it. If you like it you could order some, or become a consultant and get a 35% discount

I just started using petroleum jelly after a shower and can see the dry spots on my elbow disappearing. Great for dry feet too from wearing sandals. Coat my fingers especially nails before doing any yard work with gloves on. Dirt always manages to get thru gloves.
Tried it on a sore lip that I had bitten healed in no time.
All the above suggestions sound good too.

Lemon Elbow Scrub...
Lemon halves
Sugar

This quick elbow scrub will have you dazzled.
Take your lemon halves and squeeze out any juice. You will not need that juice for this recipe.
Fill the half with sugar and then place it onto your elbow and twist it into the skin.
The sugar exfoliates and lifts away dead skin while the lemon cleanses and replenishes...

Smiles & hugs...
