Does anyone know where RVers purchase the material so that they can have cable and Internet service and still travel?
I know they have it because people in this RV park come and go and I notice they have satelites and wireless Internet. They travel all over the country.
I may be moving again to another park. In a year when I, hopefully, start grad school, I will be moving again. However, I hate to keep having to get new cable and Internet service only to have to move again and sign up again somewhere else.
I know it exists because several RVs come and go and one stays here because he is a heart surgeon. They have the wireless because I can see what names they have chosen for them. Next time I see the heart doctor, I will ask him. RV stores might know. But, then again, I want to also know about the experiences of others. Thanks!
Tami, thanks! I typed in bunches of things such as Internet, RV, and statelite and couldn't get anything. I guess it was the way I was searching. I will let ya'll know if I find anything.
Hi! My folks RV three months out of the year. They have a satellite dish and service from "The Dish" for tv. And through the RV park they were staying in, they got internet service for about $5 a month. The person had an antenna that he sold to my folks that was wired to a card that was inserted into my Mom's laptop. She was then able to send and receive email or surf the internet. I think she was then able to use his wireless.
Thanks Auntie. I do have a wireless card. The place I am moving to have the capabilites for telephone and cable. But, since everyone requires a down payment and I will be moving again within a year, I figure that it might me cheaper to get something that I can take with me. I will check that place out that you mentioned.
I am guessing that whatever service the RV park offers it is probably high speed and not slow dialup, right? I think it would be in order to be useful?

Not all RV parks offer Internet services. I am moving to a mobile home park and will have to get my own cable and Internet services there by August. I hope that answers your question.
We have stayed in RV parks that had internet service. Your computer must have a wireless card. Most services cost $30.00 a month or $5.00 a day. It is east to set up if you have a wreless card-as soon as your computer is turned on it should recognize the wireless network.
