Welcome to Family Corner’s Secret Sister Club!
We have started this women only club to give us the opportunity to bring a smile to someone’s face, to form friendships and to encourage others along the way. Family Corner is like one big family, so let’s reach out and get to know one another even better. As this site is large and many of us never cross paths or have a chance to really get to know each other. Let’s have fun with this and use this to get to know one and other a whole lot better! We are looking forward to this fun event and hope you are too!

Each month we will be exchanging new names. The name that you are given will be your Secret Sister to spoil! You will receive the name and special information about your Sister in an email so be on the lookout for it around the 1st of each month. You will only have 1 Secret Sister per month.
This will be a continual month-to-month club.
The deadline for new sign-ups to participate for the next month's exchange will be the 25th of the current month. Once you have joined you
DO NOT need to continue to send your information in every month. We will keep your records on file. You can always update your information at any time too. Please use the "new enrollement" form to update your file. When sending in an update, please include the word
"UPDATE" to let us know that you are already a Secret Sister.
Please notify us of you decision to leave the club for the next month no later than the 25th of the current month. If you decide to leave the club or have been removed from the list, then decide to join at a later date…..you will have to re-submit your info. using the form for new members. If you are a current member, you MUST fill out the Secret Sister questionnaire at the end of every month to be automatically enrolled for the following month's exchange. Failure to do so will mean omission from next month’s exchange. You will have to re-submit your information to join the club again! Please see the section on the End-of–the-Month Questionnaire below. BECOMING A SECRET SISTER As of October 1, 2004 any new members wishing to join the Secret Sister Club will be required to have a minimum of 75 posts. Members who joined for the September swap and prior will be grandfathered in, HOWEVER, they will be given two months from the date they joined to obtain those 75 posts or they will be removed from the exchange.
Once you have registered to become a Sister, you will receive a special “Secret Sister” icon in your signature line too! This will let everyone know that you are a special Secret Sister!
Please use the following form to submit your information: http://www.familycorner.com/services/sister.shtml You should receive a secret sister name by the 3RD of each month. If you don’t receive a name by then, please contact BARB or TAMI immediately. We will post a complete list of names of who will be participating in the new exchange, a day before the names are sent out. PLEASE CHECK THIS LIST FOR YOUR NAME! If your name has been left off of the list but you think that it should be included, contact Tami immediately. RULES AND GUIDELINES Here are the Guide Lines for joining our club: 1 When you fill out the questionnaire about yourself, please go into detail about your interests, hobbies and favorite things.

You must send one type of email (e-card, an email letter, an e-postcard....etc)each week Getting these little notes helps to brighten everyone's day.
PLUS
You MUST send at least one item per month, by snail mail to your Secret Sister. This can be something as simple as a post card or whatever you can dream up! Remember not to use your name on the return address envelope! We ask that you send one snail mail by the 15th of the month so that it will have time to get to your SS's house. If you have to wait until the last week of the month to send your one gift, please let us know this when you fill out the questionnaire for the club. Contact your secret sister to let her know too.
Failure to meet with the requirements for each month's exchange will result in a one month suspension.
Please contact Tami (if possible) if an unexpected event happens and you are unable to fulfill your month's requirements".
Please Note:
If your Secret Sister fails to follow the rules and communicate with you at the minimum of one ecard per week and one snail mail, she will be removed from the exchange for the following month. Do not take it into your own hands and begin bashing your Secret Sister publicly on the boards. THIS IS GROUNDS FOR REMOVAL AS WELL! Anyone who chooses to publicly humiliate their Secret Sister by stating that they haven't heard from them in the proper manner will be removed from the club the following month along with their Secret Sister. This website will not tolerate this type of behavior. The month end questionnaire is where you may list your complaints, and you may also contact Tami (ajrsmom) or Amanda (FamilyCorner) privately.
3 There is no monetary limit to what you can spend on your Sister. To be fair, I would suggest that you set the same limit to spend every month. Keep in mind, however, that it is not the size of the gift but the thought that you are reaching out to brighten someone’s day.
4 Don’t be afraid to send something unique! It is always fun to receive a one-of-a-kind gift. You can always use email to send a unique gift too….a special poem, a nice e-card or just a note to say “Hi”.
5 Please remember to “Treat others as you would like to be treated”. You will be receiving gifts as well as sending them. Please don’t forget about your Secret Sister!
REVEALING It is up to the “Sender” whether or not they wish to reveal their identity. Anyone who chooses to remain anonymous MUST send an email to their secret sister stating their wish to remain secret. We have chosen the 27th of each month to start reveal our identities. We ask that you send an email or a snail mail to your secret sister to reveal your identity. If you are going to reveal through snail mail...PLEASE make sure to send the note out in time so that your sister will get it on or right around the 27th. Those who don’t reveal their identity OR don’t send an email stating that they do not want to reveal, WILL BE REVEALED to their secret sister if they ask who you are on the 29th of the month!! SAYING THANK YOU
Post at least once a week that you have received something from your Secret Sister… leaves a note such as
“Thank you!” I’ve received my emails daily from my secret sister”
Or
“Thank you!” I’ve received my gift in the mail from my secret sister”
VACATIONS If you are leaving for vacation or are going to be away from your computer for more than 1-2 days, please let Barb or Tami know about it so that they can relay the message to your secret sister--both giving and sending. This will help to ease everyone's wondering when they don’t hear from you. Everyone needs to READ and UNDERSTAND the rules and guidelines before posting. END –OF-THE-MONTH QUESTIONNAIRE If you are a current member, you MUST fill out the Secret Sister questionnaire at the end of every month to be automatically enrolled for the following month's exchange. This questionnaire should be filled out and sent in by the end of every month by all previously enrolled members only. By answering this we will also know if you wish to stay in the club or if you would like to leave. Failure to fill out this questionnaire will mean omission from next month’s exchange. You will have to re-submit your information to join the club again! End-of-the-Month Questionnaire: This should be a direct link
