no dairy.

So i thought i woud get this going, there are no threads on here yet. mine is dairy. the children i nanny are lactose and cant not eat any dairy. some things can be replaced with rice, soy and almond milk but others can't they do not eat the nondairy cheese. can't you blame them tho.)
i do ok with the meals but it is very hard to find things that they can both have (baby is 1) healthy and is non dairy.

does anyone have any good recipies?
the one thing that is a big treat and does not need to be altered is jello, and marshmellows.

Do they absolutely HAVE to have no dairy? My first-grader is lactose intolerant but he can handle a little bit of cheese, yogurt or ice cream. The doctor said this is the case with many lactose intolerant children. There is an amount they can handle. But no seconds for him on those things!!

Do make sure that if they must be completely dairy-free, that they eat a lot of high-calcium foods like broccoli, or have calcium-fortified OJ.

I always used goats milk, soy or rice with my kids.
