Thumbs up Become a Recipe Tester & Earn a New Award!

Hi Everyone!

Once again we are looking to recruit more Recipe Testers!

Q: Who can become a recipe tester?

A: Any registered member on the FC forums can become a recipe tester as soon as you have 45 posts!

Q: Where can I find these recipes?

A: You can choose any recipe on the forums that has been posted by a member - the only rule is that is must be a homemade recipe and not a company trademarked (ex: Pillsbury, Green Giant..etc) recipe.
You can not choose a recipe that already has a blue ribbon.

Two places which hold most of the recipes:

FC Recipe Exchange Forum

What's for Dinner Forum - you can choose any of the months in this forum but as a note, most of the recipes {excluding present posts up to 4 months ago} have been reprinted in the recipe exchange. Any member's posted recipe is ok!

Q: What do I have to do as a recipe tester?

All you have to do is choose a recipe. Then report back to seleach, our Recipe Tester moderator, via a private message on FC with the link to the recipe. Afet she looks at the recipe, she will PM you or send an email with a go ahead message if the recipe has been approved. If it has not been approved she will ask you to select a different recipe.
Please tell of any changes that you made to the recipe...etc.
When your recipe gets posted as a blue ribbon winner, you will be PMed with a link to the recipe and asked to post your comments.

The member, whose recipe that you choose, will receive a Blue Ribbon.

You will receive a Tester Icon.

Q: How many times can I participate as a recipe tester?

Each month, approximately two weeks before the end of the month, 4 testers will be chosen at random and notified via email and/or private message. This will allow for ample time to choose your recipe and shop if need be. When chosen, instructions on how to proceed will be included.

Each tester will be given a deadline. We would like to award a ribbon each week in the newsletter.

Testers may choose and prepare/test as many recipes from any category as they like. However only one recipe can be given the blue ribbon and must be sent in by the given date. If additional recipes are tested. please folow the same procedures as you did for your required recipe. These recipes are kept on file and may be used at a later date. You could use one of them the next your name is drawn or one could be used if someone has missed their deadline and a recipe is needed.

The Recipe Tester's name and the Blue Ribbon winner's name and recipe are posted in the FC Forums newsletter every week. The winner's names are also posted on the forums. You will find your award in your awards library under your username.

If you have any questions, please contact [B]seleach /B] via private message here at FC.

What are you waiting for? Start cooking!!

Great! I'll make sure to pass your name along to Seleach. She is running the Blue Ribbon awards now.

Is this where new or people that have been recipe testers will need to reply to so they can get on the list?

I believe I have PM'd you and let you know I would like to get on the list again. Are we going to have a monthly thread like we used to for this; like August Recipe tester, etc?
