crock pot bread & cake

I have gotten two Rival Crock Pot Bread 'n Cake Pans and thought since it was summer this would be a good time to start using these. Then.....I realized I have NO RECIPES for using with these pans! Does anyone have any they would be willing to share?

These are nice lided pans that fit in the 5 quart Rival crock pots. I picked mine up at thrift stores so no paper work with them which I'm sure originally came with the recipes or at least cooking directions. Sure going to be a good way to have the bread and cakes without using the hot oven!

I read on that site that Rival doesn't make these bread & cake pans anymore. They wouldn't have fit my crock pot since mine is oval shape, but there were some recipes that you just put in the crock & cook it. You would then have to spoon the cake from the crock pot. I would think you could turn the crock upside down like you would any other cake pan to be able to slice the cake or frost it.

I have made "cakes" directly in the crockpot before and they turned out fine. I haven't had the chance to make the recipes on the site yet using the pans that sit in the crockpot. DH's birthday is coming up so I might try one this week to use (if it turns out he likes it) for his birthday cake!
