Substitutions for Baking & Cooking

I don't know if it has ever happened to you where you are baking or cooking a meal and you don't have one ingredient.Here is a list of substitutions you can use...

Egg Substitution:
For 1 Egg substitute 1 teaspoon baking powder and 2 tablespoons milk...

All Purpose Flour:
For 1 Cup all purpose flour substitute 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons cake flour

Baking Powder:
For 1 teaspoon baking powder substitute with 1 teaspoon baking soda plus 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar...

Lemon Juice:
For 1 teaspoon lemon juice substitute 1 teaspoon vinegar...

Buttermilk or Sour Milk:
For 1 cup buttermilk or sour milk substitute 1 tablespoon lemon juice or vinegar plus enough milk to make 1 cup.Let stand for a few minutes or use 1 cup Plain Yogurt...

Thanks for these tips.. this could really help me.. I love baking and there some instances that I forgot to buy some ingredients.. with these substitutions. I would not bother to go back to the store to buy..
