frugal meal
I came up with this when i had ground beef to use up and tired of the same old burgers and meatloaf. Sorry, dont have a name, maybe "meatloaf patties"?
1 lb ground beef
1 egg
1/4-1/2 c chopped onion
cracker or bread crumbs (i used homemade bread crumbs), enough to hold mixture together
a little "dale's steak seasoning", optional, (found at walmart)
1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1/2 soup can milk
Mix beef, egg onion, and (if desired) "dales". Add enough bread crumbs to hold mixture together. Form into thick patties. Brown patties on both sides in nonstick skillet, sprayed with cooking spray. Mix soup and milk together. When patties are brown, pour soup mixture (sauce) over top. Cover and simmer about 1/2 hr, turning patties once and stirring sauce a few times. Serve with extra sauce on top of patties.
I served with mashed potatoes with sauce on top, and corn. We had a dump cake for dessert. My picky family loved this meal, and found to be very inexpensive.
