Barbar, I'm sending you a pm or email. Thanks for the welcome and chin up.

Debbie, I loved hearing how your parents showered love unconditionally. I have always felt that while my parents did the best they could with what they had, I would have to take steps in filling in the blanks so that my children could have a healthier home. My dad still says to this day, if we turned out better parents and people than he is, then he did his job. It's so important to shower your kids with unconditional love (I didn't have that benefit growing up) but I try with my own boys. I tell them that while we may not like what he is doing, we will always love him, accept him and be there for him. It took me a long time to learn that concept, separate the sin from the sinner. You don't have to like their actions but you do need to love their humanity. Isn't that what our Heavenly does?! I'm sorry to hear about the rape you endured. That had to be a hard trial to work through. With your parents' love and now your dh, I hope that day feels a world away.

One of my favorite quotes, "When you come to the edge of all the light you have, and must take a step into the darness of the unknown, believe that one of two things will happen. Either there will be something solid for you to stand on ... or you will be taught how to fly." Patrick Overton

So, let's all soar!

Sorry sisters. I got away from the "If" part of this forum. So Trainlady you wanted something lighter, but I don't think women think along lighter terms, we want to get to the core, you know the guts. You know, we call the Home Improvement committee (you guys). Thanks for sharing your friendships.

IF you had 60 days left to live who would you spend them with and what would you spend your time doing?

IF I had only 60 days to live, I would spend that 60 days with my kids just playing! Playing what anything they wanted, yes even dance to the older kids horrible music they listen to!! And telling them stories about when they were born, and when they were little!

60 days.....

My family already knows how much they are loved, but I know they would need to be reassured, so there will be lots of hugs and kisses as I get ready for a wonderful journey.

Daily Mass and daily prayer would have a whole new meaning.

We would have Thanksgiving, Christmas, and the rest of the birthday parties for this year moved up!!!

I'd find the money and use the time I have left to take my family to see Great Brittan where my ancestors lived, the Holy Land, the Vatican, Lourdes, and other shrines.

I already have so many loved ones waiting for me in heaven that it would be hard not to be excited at the thought of being with those I have missed so much.

And I will see my Lord Jesus.

It would be a glorious 60 days!!!

Love & Prayers,
Linda

Not so sure what I would do. as My kids and my dh knows I love them as it we are very blessed to tell each other things quite often, for dh and I we tell each other things more than once a day every day

I know where I'm going, to be home with the Father, because there is a place ready for me, for I'm a born again christian.

so I guess I will get things prepare for the funneral, to get a banquet ready for it be a homecoming I'm going to, it only hurts the ones that remains behind that will miss me. Yet they all know one day they will see me again, when their chores are done here.

another thing I would like to do is go and met some of these wonderful friends tha I"ve met here at Fc to look at them face to face and thank them for the friendship we have formed.
to say my fairwells.

if I can show someone how to die by giving them love, to tell them about MY SAVIOR and how I'm ready to go home, then bring them forth.

I've learned with my own dh's shealth that we can say so much what we would like to do but we won't know until that day comes.
and we came close seveal times with his health. Praise GOD he still around....

and I do hope all of you are ready for that day to come to met your maker...

Barbar, your words touched my heart very much. You are one of the most kind, spiritual, knowledgable women I have ever met in my life. I wish you were my neighbor.

I would answer the question the same way all 3 of you did, Barbara, Linda and Karen but the three of you, combined, said your answers far more eloquently than I could have.. Love you all!!

IF you could attend church in a natural seeting where would it be? Be specific..........not just "the mountians" or "the beach"
Where would church be? What would you pray? What would you sing?

peace,train

Donna, I thank you, and again I'm speachless, with tears in the eyes.
I wish I was your neighbor too, but just know miles may be far from one another, but we are the family of GOD"S and with that we are just a blink away in HIS Eyes....

it would not be in one spot... as GOD is everywhere...
and you cannot put HIM in a building for that is just a building.
with each action we should allow HIM to shine thur us.

so often this is where we stop worshiping HIM like we should when we try to put HIM in a building, or just one setting.

I would love to go and Have been to the highest point in Texas when I was younger for to me it ws the closest I could come to Praise HIS name... I sit and cried, and I yelled very loud
"THANK YOU LORD< THANK YOU JESUS" for i had not been a christian that long and many other things that I just needed to thank HIM for. To watch the sun set and know that IF GOD created all of this and watches over it then how much more HE loves us and will take care of us. to listen closely and I might hear the eagle making his sound as he soars over..

Yet the lake and oceans, as you look over the beaufiful water and think of How peaceful it sounds yet knowing that JESUS can give us that kind of peace if we just reach out to HIM and ask for it.

Since I cannot sing, I would rather sit and be quiet and hear the angels singing thru the seagulls and other creatures that is from the oceans...

In a car when I am driving and talking deep conversations with HIM when I'm wasn't going to but it just take place with the radio on the christian stations.... and in my terrible voice sing along Praise HIS name as I go.
some folks will look at me straight as I do raise my hand and at stop lights andsign both may go up.

yet in a very quiat place that is very silent and closer to hold onto the quietness to see if I can hear HIM doing that time too. TO be undisturbed

YET I feel so often when I come to the prayer chain and read the prayers and take that time to pray for these women and it just GOD and I even on the computer that is a form of worship because I'm lifting up each lady with thier needs, as I write their names in my journal and in my heart... and know that JESUS loves each one of them

so you see church is not just a one single place but it the way we worship and Praise the LORD and know in our hearts and sould who is in control and stand the line of who we worship and for me it JESUS CHRIST and the Father GOD ALMIGHTY... and thru HIS son I'm am saved because JESUS is my SAVIOR.

If God came to your house today for lunch, what would you serve him? What would you want him to say to you about the life you have lived?

hugs, Donna
