Funky Colored Flames is an environmentally-friendly, talk-inspiring product created by a unique mix of sulphates and chlorides that when thrown into a fire delivers a brilliant display of blue, green, and purple.
Whether used as a way to gather family for some outdoor fun or as a holiday season tradition, Funky Colored Flames is great for all occasions and can be used in indoor/outdoor wood fireplaces, small bonfires, campfires and backyard fire pits.
Funky Colored Flames is available at Walmart, Target, and Camping World's across the country.
I'm afraid I'm a bit disappointed in these. We took the package up to the campground with us this weekend. There are three in a box and are supposed to last up to thirty minutes. It says not to open the package itself, just toss it on the fire. There's an initial burst of color, but then it really dies off shortly afterward, showing short bursts here and there. It's nothing like the box showed. We tried all three. The only thing I didn't do was drop it directly on the top of the campfire. I tossed them down into the embers thinking that was the best place, so maybe we couldn't see the colors because the package was too low? Not sure
A friend of mine who also camps there said that her camping neighbor had thrown an old string of Christmas lights into the fire and they produced beautiful colors and lasted for well over an hour. Not that I have a lot of Christmas light lying around, but I do think I will save my old lights that won't work when i dig out my Christmas stuff this year instead of just tossing them out.

That's disappointing!
Is there any danger of the glass exploding in the Christmas lights and flying out all over the place?
