Deb, little Ella's dad joined the Army--just left last month. He never was much on being a dad although he did come see Ella a couple of times. His mother is not into babies or kids so she's out of the picture. I'm really the only relative available for her. But that's ok, She is such a sweet and happy baby. Smiles all the time. She has blue eyes like me and I've noticed that she favors her left hand when eating and picking things up--just like her grandma! RyLey's dad and his girlfriend helped me out last month with RyLey but this time we felt it was in RyLey's best interest that he didn't. He usually only gets RyLey when he wants to impress the family when they have birthday parties & get togethers. God was with me this week for my dgd. One of my friend's daughters from my former church is in the Army reserves and was not working this week. She has taken care of the girls for me and has been such a blessing.

Thank you for your prayers. They are greatly needed.

I wish you lived close to me too! My rental car needs to be returned on Monday and the guy who said he would fix my van doesn't return my text messages or calls. It really frustrates me, especially since we got to the same church, and it disappoints me tremendously that one of my church family members is acting this way. And I'm in dire straits for a vehicle.

You are so blessed with all your grandchildren & great grandchild + one to be! I'm sure my dgd would love being with you.

HI everybody. Just want to post an update on my daughter Sarina. As you know, She was admitted into the hospital on Monday. Wed morning they did a bronscopy (not sure if that's how its spelled) to go look at her lungs and see if the bleeding was there. After the procedure, the doctor came and talked with Sarina and me. He consulted with another specialist and they wanted to do an arteriogram-that day. The hospital she was in didn't have the necessary equipment, so they transported her to another hospital. We were glad of that because thats where she had her last one done last month, and the specialists, nurses, techs, etc. are all so wonderful and they know what they're doing & do it right. So off we went. That afternoon a physician's assistant came to talk to us about the procedure they were going to perform. Come to find out that they were only going to sedate Sarina lightly and she would feel that huge needle going into her groin. She said absolutely not, that she wanted to be put to sleep. So they had to reschedule the procedure to Thurs. morning. She came through the arteriogram great. But afterwards the doctor talked with me, and I didn't like the news he gave me. Sarina has a rare disease called takayasu's arteritis which is causing her to cough up blood. The pulmonary arteries leading from her lungs are bad and have to be cauterized. So new arteries form to compensate for the bad ones. These arteries are small and very fragile. When they open up they sometimes break and that's what causes her to cough up blood and not be able to breath. What it all boils down to is that its not a permanent fix. The specialist who performed the procedure said that this will be a chronic problem and will need to be done when it happens again, and again, etc. He said it might be a month (thats how long the last one lasted), 2 months, who knows. After awhile it will become ineffective and she will have to have her right lung removed. And she still has blockage in her shoulders areas. The one on the left is the worst. A pulse can't be gotten when they check her blood pressure on the left arm. But the doctor doesn't think there is a risk for a heart attack. The whole story is long and drawn out. Irks me to no end. Anyhow, Sarina was released from the hospital today. She hasn't coughed up any blood since the arteriogram and is able to breath with ease now. However, she spoke to her cardio vascular specialist today and they will be setting up a consultation with him, her, the lung specialist & the rheumatoid specialist to see what step they want to take next. They want to try to prevent this from all happening again. They've discussed a change of medication so that may be in the works. Who knows. All I care about is for my little girl to be ok. She has 2 little girls to take care of and they (and me) need her.

Well, that was long and drawn out. Please keep us all in your prayers. I'm a firm believer that prayers are answered.

Love, Hugs, and Smiles
