First does anyone ever come to this site? With the presidential race coming up I was wondering if anyone was willing to discuss the pros and cons of the candidates.
I don't know if Bush/Cheney ticket is going to change or not. I have not heard anything about that one at all. I am from NC so, John Edwards, who is from these parts, I know what I have read about him in the newspapers and heard about him from others. Both democrats and republicans. From what I have heard, some say he is an ambulance chaser..I don't know, just because he was lawyer doesn't give someone the right to call him that, so I disregard that comment. Others, well neither party seems really taken with him. Everyone thought with him as Kerry's running mate, it would automatically put them as the forerunners, I knew that wouldn't happen, because their are enough people in his own state that will not vote for Kerry because he IS on the ticket.
Hi everyone! There are a few of us who are interested indiscussing the upcoming race. The moderator has given the ok as long as it doesn't get ugly. We only want to discuss things, not get ugly, scream and shout. Just try to get informed on the issues at hand and maybe find out things we were not aware of.
Anyone interested in joining us, come on down!! Isn't that what we're here for? To discuss things? If our children don't see us taking an interest in what goes on with the government of our country, how can we expect them to?! Hope to have some informative and lively, but nice, discussions.
Ever since 9/11 dd1 (almost 13) has been very interested in politics. Anything from local all the way up to presidential. Good thing shes not asking about international; its hard enough for me to explain what happens in our own country.
This time, the theme is going to be autumn/Halloween so your stories need to use smilies to express as many words as possible and your story should be focused on anything that has to do with autumn or Halloween.
