Hi Amanda!
First let me tell you that we keep all of our piggies in their own long rubbermaid-type boxes. We have an Abyssinian (Oreo) that makes liars out of all of the books that say "Guinea pigs cannot climb or jump out of their dwellings."

He climbed *out* of his box and *into* Chip's box and then *out* of that one and *into* Max's box. He then calmly walked up to my husband as if to say "Will you put me back into my box as I'm too tired to climb back in?"
Kisses (a Silkie) is the mom to Chip and Max. She is an absolute sweetheart! She cannot seem to get enough love from us! Snickers (an Abyssinian) was our very first guinea pig. He thinks he's a cat, I guess, because he prefers to lie in our laps as a cat would. He's approximately 2 1/2 years old and had never been with a female. We were *mistakenly* led to believe that he's too old to become a father.

He and Kisses have been "roommates" as *just friends* (we thought!!!!) for almost 6 months now. Unless Oreo (our escape artist) has figured out how to get out of his box with the lid, climb into the box with Kisses and Snickers, and then climb *back into* his own box,
putting the lid back on, HAHAHA, then Snickers is indeed about to become a father!
