Crockpot mac-n-cheese?

I saw a recipe for this somewhere on the net and can't find it again . It uses cooked noodles, 4 cups of cheese, and evaporated milk, as well as some stuff I can't remember. Does anyone out there have this? I did a search under "frugal recipes" if that helps. TIA.

I had a recipe for this too. The first time I made it it was a mess! The recipe called for "sweet" milk and I thought was sweetened condensed milk, LOL !! It turned out to be picture perfect but the taste was O SO Sweet !!! Then I found out that sweet milk is whole milk. The second time I made it it was much better My DH loved it but I guess I prefer a creamier chesse sauce on mine.

I will do a search through my recipes and see if I saved it ( I think I pitched it after I didnt like it ). I know it called for milk, eggs and cheese. I think that was it.

Hope you have better luck making it than I did !!

Crock-Pot Macaroni and Cheese

16 ounce macaroni, cooked
1/2 stick butter
1 large can evaporated milk
1 can regular milk
2 eggs
Salt and pepper to taste
3 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese

Spray the crock with nonstick spray. Mix everything and put into crock-pot. Cook for three hours on low. So good it will make your tongue slap your brains out.

Note: You can also cook on high for 1 1/2 hours.

Enjoy!

PRINTING!!

Where you said "regular milk" can that be skim?? I want to cut down the fat so I am going to use low fat cheese, plus we drink 1%. I'm really going to be brave and use whole wheat macaroni. I like whole wheat pasta (doesn't taste different to me!) and it's much healthier!

Thank you thank you thank you! I ended up finding one called "all Day Macaroni and cheese", but PracticalKitchen, yours looks better, so I'll try that first.

Amanda, let me know how it turns out with your changes--I'm curious to find out!
