birthday idea

My boy is 14 and would not think of having a party. He thinks
he is too big for that. I think that a boy that is turning 13
would want something adult like. If you approve, I think
he would like a lazer tag party or maybe paintball. Even though
boys grow up, they never seem to outgrow cowboys and indians.

My son just turned 13 last month. They get to the point that they feel they might be too big for a party, but they still want to have fun and celebrate it too. He invited 5 friends and we went to an arcade (one that both adults and kids can enjoy ) then went back to our house and had pizza and a small cookie cake (no one ate it but its just there for tradition). Then his friends played video games and baseball for a couple of hours. Two of the kids spent the night. He really enjoyed it.

One of his friends just sent him an invite for an overnighter all nighter at his house for his 13th bday. My son has gone to movies, bowling, arcades etc. this year for his friend's 13th bday. We have passes to a nearby water park where another of his friends had his birthday. This way you can have it out somewhere and you don't have to have the cake part. Even though they think they are too old, deep inside they still want to be a kid and enjoy having fun. Ask your son what he might want to do and even if just a couple of his friends get together for a sleepover or movie, he can still feel special on a special birthday(entering teen hood)

Good luck,

annt

Hi, I don't have any sons, but my daughter recently attended a "slime party", where the parents organized the games like on Nickelodeon, and the losers of the games or sometimes the winners by surprise, would get slimed. The parents were all pre warned so that older clothes were sent and no one ruined their new shoes. It was a hit with all the kids of all ages. Hope you have a good time!

13 year old b-day party

Temporary tattoos. They are a huge hit with boys and girls. I had them at my son's 13th birthday and the kids loved them.

slumber party

My 11 & 12 year old boys both had a few friends over for their respective slumber parties. They love water balloons/guns, colored hair spray and junk food. Didn't have to plan any games or activities, they played video games and YuGiOh (sp?) cards all night long. The 11 year old gave out party favors (gummi-stuffed game boy things from Blockbuster @99 cents each) but the 12 year old vetoed favors (not cool for jr high we're told).
