Family Game Night

The old Friday night standby of going out for dinner and a movie is probably getting painfully pricey. Instead of dropping a bunch of cash, gather your friends and family for a game night at home. If you’re really pinching pennies, ask guests to bring any of the games that are missing from your collection; otherwise, invest in these soon-to-be favorites, whip up a couple of satisfying snacks, dazzle the competition with a few inexpensive prizes and get your game face on. Get the party started with this themed nights.

When we first moved to NC, we did this on Friday nights with our neighbors.

I also used to do this with a group of my friends (guys and gals) when I was in my early 20s. We used to have a blast!

If you get tired of playing games all of the time, renting a movie once in a while works, too.
