How much do you spend on Christmas Presents for your kids?
Christmas is just around the corner.
Do you spend the same amount on each kid no matter what the age group? Do your kids give you a list of what they want? Do you stick to that list or get other things off the list?
We have 4 children and 2 grandchildren. We send the 2 boys that are both adults and no longer live at home $50 each and we also give our dil and dil to be $50 each. Then the 2 girls that are 17 and 18 get gifts. I spend ruffly $100 to $150 on them. Then I buy the granddaughters presents.
First off, December is a 4 letter word in our house! We have 7 family birthdays in December! We usually spend $150 on each kid (12-24) depending on what they want. With the eldest, her birthday is on New Years eve, so sometimes her birthday and Christmas amounts are divvied up between them. It all works out in the end. I also use their lists to decide what to get them.

because there's a lot more information in our heads. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
Don't get your knickers in a knot It makes you walk funny!
We keep to a specific $ for christmas and birthdays, more money is spent for christmas though and even though there's been inflation the $ value is still the same after 8yrs.
As they've got older it's harder for gifts so I usually buy a present to unwrap and put the rest in $ value in a card.
I find gifts hard for my son who has moved out as he only has a room in the house as his and he doesn't have much space to store things.
