Rut-Like Routines and Self Esteem

I work from home. I have fallen into a bad pattern of doing my work outs and coming to my office to work. Sometimes I don't get cleaned up until I am off work.

My new goal is be showered and dressed with just a smidge of make-up by 8am! I did it all week. It's been great. I feel more energized. I feel better about myself overall. And I don't have to have go into a shame spiral should someone come to the door.

Is anyone else doing anything to get out of a rut-like routine?

I find I am taking better care of myself since I started working. I guess if I work in a beauty shop spa I need to look better!

I try and put some make up on every day. I work in an office and sometimes get in a rut and don't do make up and just throw my hair in a ponytail for the day.

I have noticed if I spend the time in the morning to do my hair and make up. I feel better about myself.

Not that the fall is coming and the kids are going back to school. I am going to get myself into a routine of dressing nicer and spending time for myself in the morning.

Good for you Charlotte. Its been hard for me the last few weeks with all of my pet and other issues, but I need to shower and primp a bit after the gym. Its worth it!
