How did you devise your organizational plans for your home...etc?
I'm in need of some time management and organizational skills. I'm curious how those of you who use written plans, weekly charts, menus...etc came up with these ideas.
Did you read a certain book, look at certain websites, try a "hit or miss" approach to certain things...or what?
I'd really appreciate all of the tips that you would share with me.
I have a diary that has all dates needed as they come along and a weekly magnetic calendar I write up sunday night (from said diary) on the fridge so that every one can look at a glance and see what everyone else is doing, working hours, sports etc.
The rest I just wing it sorry, if I don't' have the time in the daylight hours to do my jobs or get things done I do it at night, it all gets done eventually.
Are you speaking of scheduling the cleaning and other chores around the house? That I don't do I just wing it and do things as they come up.
I do have a family calendar and post all activities for each member so anyone can see what is going on. I will have to ask my sister where she got it as I'd never seen one before with 5 columns for the family members to list each day. Maybe if I hint now I'll get one for Christmas again, grins.

I'm looking for ways to organize everything...family, cooking, chores...etc. At this point, I get things done but we are very unorganized.
I do have a cleaning checklist on the fridge. It lists things that need to be done daily, weeky and each week has a room to deep clean. I used to use it faithfully and it worked wonders. As for other organiztion, hit and miss. I am always trying to read more books and try new things. I have been thinking about how to organize my sewing room...... ta da! My avon boxes! Fabric to make baby bibs in this box, Happy Pads in this box.... guess what I will be doing this weekend.

Barbzy, I am gonna have to go look at that site. Tree- wow! I am impressed! I could never be that organized! We live in a house of disorganization. We have no set days, events or such. It drives me crazy!!!! I have organized a few things that makes life easier. I have a bright coloured garbage bag that we put everything to be donated in. That way I never have to look for give away stuff when they call for pick up.
Nope, that's about it! Man, do I need help or what!? Ajrsmom, I am sorry I cannot help, but maybe I will learn some things here too!
