Page, I guess I have always been a morning person, and I love watching the sunrise and sunset. Best part of the day.

I have more energy after a good night's sleep, and I plan all my chores for then...like marketing, cleaning, appointments.

Now my sons are "night owls".

Even my doggies want to be in bed by 10pm. ha ha

We're not going anywhere. DH works tonite til 10 so too late to go anywhere anyway. I'd rather stay home & play on the computer.

Well, It was as expected. Gunfire rang out from 11p.m. till 2:30 a.m. The neighbor next to us was out with the rest of the crazies shooting off his gun. Calling the police is futile as they won't come. We had a near fatality again, but this little one was lucky. The bullet came down and lodged in the diaper only causing a "minor abraision". I hate living here in the midst of stupitity! Seems like they have forgotten that what is shot up will come down, and God help anyone below it!
We just stayed away from the windows and front of the house and watched tv with the sound up so we could hear over the gunfire! Did let the dogs out this a.m. very early and they barked till I let them in 30 minutes later . Next door wanted to know why I let the dogs out to bark so early, and I replied for the same reason the dummy next door (he) felt it necessary to shoot off a gun in a neighborhood. Hope he got it!

Vivian I sure wish you could move man that place sounds super dangerous. And that poor baby must have been totally in shock. Your police sound as bad as Theresa's. I am glad New Years Eve only comes once a year. But then guess they do crap like that July 4th too

Vivian, Thank God the baby wasn't hurt badly! If I was those parents, I'd sure swear out a warrant against everyone that was shooting guns. It's hard to say which shooter it came from unless they have each gun tested. Hope they saved the bullet.

I too hope they kept the bullet. That poor baby had to be really scared not to mention the parents.

We had a nice New Years Eve here. Dh and I went to the VFW. He helped the bartender till 9pm. Then we hung out at the bar and everyone brought food. Most people went home by 10pm. At midnight we had all the food cleaned up and only a dozen people were there to bring in the NEW YEAR. Dh and I took his brother home. We were home before 1pm. DD #1 came home right before we did. She was at her boyfriends with his family for the evening. DS #2 was home and in bed before 12pm. So till we got home everyone was safe and sound in bed. Where I like all my kids to be.

Around here, I think there would have been some neglect charges filed against the parents whether or not they were the ones firing the guns/owning the guns.
I can't believe the stupidity.
When we went to dd's future in-laws, they were target practicing, they made the girls go inside. When Miriam stepped out onto the porch to take photos they stopped shooting completely.
Just common sense.
