We've had the same plans for the past several years. We visit friends; they have a big "appetizer buffet" set up, and we all play board games and watch movies. At midnight they put on a fireworks show in the yard.

We usually go out for dinner and then a movie. We're usually home well before midnight. I'll put on my PJ's and then we'll watch the fireworks that the country club across the road puts on. We can see them perfectly from DD1's bedroom window. Then off to bed as it's past my bedtime!

We will stay home, have shrimp, baked potatoes & salad for dinner & watch movies. We watch the ball drop in Times Square on TV. We hear all the neighbors do off their fireworks at midnight & then go to bed.

Happy face

Happy Birthday Bruce.----On New Years Eve I'll be in my pj's watching tv or a movie. I will have lots of junk food for the family. We use to go out on New Years but we just don't like to anymore, to many nuts on the roads. Have fun whatever you do!

We are staying home and going to bed as any other night. We have been ill the last few years on New Years so we want to take care of ourselves this year.

We spend New Year's eve with friends, and this year we will be hosting. It's just three couples.. we've all known each other for thirty years and have all settled within five miles of one another. It's pretty nifty... too bad not all of us are married to the same people they started off with but c'est la vie..

Folks are showing up at eight.. and this year my older dd will be inviting a few of her friends to join us. About 15 people total.. no kids younger than 13, so I bought hats and noisemakers for midnight.. lots of sparkling cider for the kids and a bottle of champagne for the six adults.

I'm making an assortment of appetizers, and it should be a lovely night.

I hope all of you have a safe and joyous celebration.. and those of you who are ill, have a healthy and happy new year.
