We walked with my son's karate school in our town's Memorial Day parade, then went to see "Men in Black III". Came home and my husband cooked steaks on the grill. I steamed clams for the first time - followed the "Joy of Cooking" recommendations for soaking the clams in a bath of brine and cornmeal, then rinsing, placing on a rack in a kettle with 1/2 inch of water, and steaming for about seven minutes. They were great with melted butter.
