Lightbulb Favorite low fat/low cal snack ideas!

Ok we all have our favorite snack ideas but they get boring after awhile. So maybe if we share we can build up more of a variety!
Here goes a few of mine:

Baby carrots with dip. I don't care for lowfat dips, so I mix regular dips with a container of fat free yogurt. Lowers the fat but still gives flavor variety.

I love ranch flavored mini rice cakes!

Pumpkin pie filling made with no crust, less sugar, egg whites , and skim milk instead of evaporated milk- served with fat free cool whip. Even kids love this one, I sneak in a vegetable disguised as desert!

What else can we think of?

Something I learned at Weight Watchers was to buy sugar free jello and lite cool whip. Make the jello as the package directs. Add in some cool whip and whisk it, enough to make it look like a parfait. Then chill till set. This is sooooooo good, especially with orange jello, it's like a creamcicle!

Another thing I love is fresh fruit salad and fresh chopped begies. Problem is I LOVE dip. Any ideas for good dip that doesn't taste "diet-like"?

Low fat snacks

Yes, I love fresh veggies and fresh fruit and I really love the dips. I think I could honestly survive on salads if someone else would cut up everything for me.

My biggest problem is popcorn. I love popcorn. But I buy the buttered kind and then add more butter Is there anything out there that tastes like butter?

I'm gonna try the orange jello. I love creamcicles.

Actually, I love to eat I guess. The only thing I won't eat is cooked spinach. Bleck.....

Have you tried butter buds? I haven't actually tried them, but they are an alternative to butter

Try the Act II Natural flavored microwave popcorn. WalMart carries it - 8 envelopes for $2.

Regarding favorite snacks - I just recently read how snacks with protein will keep you full longer as it takes longer for the protein to digest. You just need to watch the quantities. I've been very happy with peanut butter on celery and strawberry/banana yogurt.

butter buds

My mom snuck Butter Buds into our christmas dinner last year and no one knew! I only found out because she let me help cook this year and she told me about it and showed me how to use it. I have to say that we had stuffing, mac-n-cheese, sweet potato casserole (with a topping), and my husband, dad, and brother did not notice a difference. Mom said to use it when ever butter is called for, melted or otherwise. I however in NC can not find it at my grocer, but I have put in the request!!

low-cal snacks

You can eat this popcorn and not feel bad about it. It's Orville Redebacher's Smart Pop Popcorn - 94% fat free. To get that great buttery taste, after you pop it, spray Pam Butter Spray on it and salt it. And for all you Weight Watchers out there - the whole bag is only 2 points!!! YUM! ... It's so good! I think I will go pop a bag!!

I bought a popcorn popper for the microwave (got an orville one at Walmart). Then I put in regular corn, pop it, and spray it with butter flavor Pam. It tastes exactly the same as the fatty kind to me. I also cut up pita bread and bake it in the oven with a little butter flavor Pam and garlic powder put on it. They taste like chips and I use them to go with soup and dips.
